It's tough to review *Impure Blood: Volume 1* knowing there are four volumes in total, so the story isn't complete! This first one really plunges you headfirst into the world without much explanation. It's a bit disorienting at first, but by the end of *Impure Blood: Volume 1*, it really starts to pick up. Nadja Baer's illustrations are also gorgeous and complement the story perfectly. Definitely planning to continue with the series. If you like dark fantasy books, give this one a try!

Just finished *Impure Blood: Volume 1* yesterday, and I'm already hooked on the story's premise. It feels like it's setting the stage for what could easily be a five-star series. The whole idea of the Ancients and their powers has me really excited to see where Nadja Baer takes it. This first volume was definitely more about building the world and the characters than dropping huge reveals, which I think was a smart move. I'm still on the fence about the landscape format of the print version – it...

Nadja Baer and Nathan Lueth have teamed up to deliver a fantastic new addition to the steampunk genre with Impure Blood: Volume 1. Expect airships, intriguing but not-quite-understood technology, and a splash of ancient magic coursing through the veins of a few select outcasts. This is the opening chapter of a four-book saga that I found thoroughly enjoyable and packed with adventure. Honestly, I was so invested I wish the story could have gone on even longer! If you're looking for exciting stea...

I really enjoyed *Impure Blood: Volume 1* by Nadja Baer and Nathan Lueth, Illustrator. The story was original and intriguing, and I loved the illustrations. I'm really hooked on the novelty – there's nothing quite like *Impure Blood: Volume 1* on the market, and I'm a total sucker for originality! I'm already looking forward to buying the next book in the series. Despite the dates on my review, it's a quick read. It just took me a while to get to it because a fellow blogger ran off with my copy ...

In a breathtaking world fueled by steampunk technology that translates beautifully into graphic form, Roan is a gladiator—half human, half an ancient magical race on the decline. He must fight for his life in gladiatorial blood sports until Dara, another half-blood with a mysterious past, approaches him. She offers to break him out and grant him freedom in exchange for an oath of service. Roan accepts, and he and Dara embark on a quest to uncover the secrets of the Ancients, accompanied by Elno...

I really enjoyed this one! I was immediately drawn in by the mysterious backstories of all the characters and the intricate world they inhabit in "Impure Blood: Volume 1" by Nadja Baer. The artwork is absolutely lovely, and the pacing is perfect. I'm already wishing I had the next volumes in my hands, but I suppose I'll just have to go read the rest online. Definitely a great read for anyone looking for gripping fantasy book reviews!

A collection of the *Impure Blood: Volume 1* webcomic.Volume 1 kicks off with a brutal gladiator match. A massive humanoid, known only as the Abomination, single-handedly fends off a whole swarm of attackers. The announcer casually mentions he’s been doing this for years. Meanwhile, a man named Caspian is directing two women as they attempt a daring rescue from the prison cells. While Elnor creates a distraction for the guards, Dara reaches a cell and shows the prisoner she has the key. She gets...
