Will Agatha manage to rescue her two colorfully diverse boyfriends and herself from the clutches of a fatal disease? The plot twists come thick and fast, and it turns out Zola has been seriously underestimated. We've got the return of the Other, a lethal marshmallow gun, and I'm left hanging with so many questions: What about Zeetha? What's going on with Von Pinn? And the Castle itself? But most importantly, I'm dying to find out what Higgs's deal is!Am I imagining things, or are the characters ...

This whole "Battle of Mechanicsburg" storyline just keeps spiraling into more and more weirdness, and honestly, I've completely lost count of how many factions are even involved at this point. Which is probably for the best, because if I actually knew the number, I'm pretty sure I'd be discouraged. Still, the showdown with the fake Heterodyne heir for control of the castle really builds nicely in this volume of *Agatha Heterodyne and the Guardian Muse*. After seeing what just a couple of the bro...

Alongside Gilgamesh Wulfenbach and Tarvek of Sturmhalten, plus a gaggle of Sparks and more-or-less willing minions, Agatha Heterodyne continues to brave the dangers lurking within Castle Heterodyne. Even when powered down, the castle still houses residents like the guardian muse and man-eating plants that lure prey with unsettling giggles. And let's not forget the unwelcome visitors and long-lost relatives, all plotting to bring Agatha down and snatch away her suitors. To top it off, Lucrezia Mo...

I absolutely adore this series, but from this point onward, I feel like the novels become a tad too focused on action. Every now and then, we need a breather to allow both the readers and the characters to catch their breath – similar to the fourth act in a play, where we're treated to witty banter or the characters simply sit down for a cup of tea and regroup before all hell breaks loose in the climax. Volumes 9 through 13? They're all climax, all the time, and frankly, it's exhausting. Still, ...

Okay, so three stars might seem a little…reserved for a *Girl Genius* book, right? Especially one featuring Agatha Heterodyne. But hear me out. *Agatha Heterodyne and the Guardian Muse* is still a fun, rip-roaring adventure, packed with all the mad science, quirky characters, and genuinely hilarious moments we've come to expect from Phil Foglio. The art, as always, is gorgeous, and the story zips along at a cracking pace.
My slight hesitation comes from…well, it felt a little *too* familia...

Castle repair. Fun until someone invades.
Phil Foglio's *Agatha Heterodyne and the Guardian Muse* starts with the mundane reality of keeping a massive, ancient castle from crumbling. It's all fun and games... until, of course, someone decides to launch an all-out assault. If you're looking for a thrilling steampunk adventure, perfect for a quick read, then check this one out! A great addition to the Agatha Heterodyne series.

I devoured "Agatha Heterodyne and the Guardian Muse" in a single sitting. I was sitting right next to my son, who was also reading, and I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud—not on every page, but pretty darn close! Then my son grabbed the book, and he was cracking up too. My daughter read it in the car on the way home, and the sounds coming from the back seat confirmed that this book by Phil Foglio is ridiculously entertaining. Seriously, if you're looking for funny book reviews, look n...

This is the only webcomic I still make time for. The art and colors are just incredible, the characters are fresh and engaging, and the story is truly unique. My only real gripe, at least with what's included in this collection, is that the plot felt a little stuck in place at times, and with so many characters running around, the focus wasn't always where I wanted it to be. But I still absolutely love Phil Foglio's work and I'm thankful it's still available to read online for free. As for Volum...

A little frantic and disjointed at times. It starts too fast and ends too abruptly. Definitely not a standalone read.
That being said, it's a blast! And you've gotta love the Foglios' artwork. If you're looking for fun graphic novels, give "Agatha Heterodyne and the Guardian Muse" a try!
