My rating takes a noticeable dip here because this final volume of All-New X-Factor Vol. 3: AXIS feels unfinished. It's not necessarily the creative team's fault; the series was canceled, and issue 20 became the last one. There's also some crossover stuff happening, hinting at a larger storyline in the Marvel universe. At least, it feels that way because characters are mentioned as being crucial to the plot but never actually appear, and a lot of important events happen "off-screen." I was reall...

This volume delves deeper into Harrison Snow's real motivations behind X-Factor, tying them into a larger conflict that I suspect crossed over into multiple series, possibly even an Avengers event. I think I enjoyed it more because the characters and their relationships are now well-defined, allowing them to truly influence and shape each other. If you're looking for engaging superhero comics, definitely check out Peter David's *All-New X-Factor Vol. 3: AXIS*.

Well, if sales couldn't sink the X-Factor collection with Madrox leading his investigation agency, they were certainly responsible for the cancellation of this new era, this corporate All-New X-Factor. Why? I don't know if it was a matter of focus, characters, or that Peter David himself wasn't quite as sharp with the scripts as he had been in the previous run, but the truth is that this All-New X-Factor just didn't click. From my point of view, I think that from the beginning the characters did...

Really good. Mostly.I love all the character stuff. Danger and Warlock were the highlight, but Quicksilver and Lorna also went through some interesting character development. It didn’t feel like a solid ending. Perhaps Peter David expected to write more issues? Also, the Axis tie-ins were very out of place and annoying. Axis, as you know, blows monkey nuts. Very good art, some truly great moments... I’d say read *All-New X-Factor Vol. 3: AXIS* by Peter David. There are parts that make the lacklus...

Crossovers can be a delightful thing, but far more often they get in the way or, in this case, derail a perfectly good series as it winds down. This version of X-Factor never really shot for the moon, but it was a fun story by old hand Peter David that went to the deep mutant bench and gave us a team led by Polaris of all people, and gave Quicksilver a chance to atone for some of the jerky things he has done while doing new jerky things, and Gambit to be a toned-down version of himself. It's all...

There were a lot of mediocre Marvel books around at this time, and even Peter David caught the bug... Once again, it's only his great dialogue, humor, and plotting that manage to keep "All-New X-Factor Vol. 3: AXIS" as a very solid 6 out of 12.
Looking for honest comic book reviews? While this one isn't a home run, David's writing still shines through!

I wasn't a huge fan of the Axis event overall, and I've gotta say, Quicksilver's still kind of a jerk, but I actually felt a little sympathy for him here. This volume, *All-New X-Factor Vol. 3: AXIS* by Peter David, definitely gave him some depth.
I'm really going to miss this ragtag team. It was a fun ride. If you're looking for superhero *book reviews*, give this one a look.

It had potential, but ultimately falls short.
The original X-Factor (investigations) series was far superior.
And the artwork is just plain strange in *All-New X-Factor Vol. 3: AXIS* by Peter David.

I'm absolutely devastated that *All-New X-Factor Vol. 3: AXIS* has come to an end. Peter David's writing was flawless and consistently intriguing. The artwork was fantastic and original. The final chapter makes it painfully obvious how much more potential this series had. I sincerely hope Marvel realizes this and brings this superb book back in the future. It's truly one of the best X-Men comic book series in recent memory._______________________________________2018 update: four years later, sti...

Another excellent volume of Peter David's All-New X-Factor Vol. 3: AXIS. David is one of the few writers who can not only handle tie-ins well but make them better than the actual event. A must-read for X-Factor fans and a great example of superior comic book writing.
