Notes: The rhyming isn't perfect—the lyrical timing is a bit off—but the spark and spirit shine through. It's got a morality mentality and cool character designs.
Basically, if you're looking for a classic children's book review, Dr. Seuss's "The Cat in the Hat" delivers a fun, if slightly flawed, experience.

Where are you, Christmas -
Do you remember
The one you used to know?
I'm not the same one
See what the time's done!
Is that why you let me go?

Dr. Seuss's *The Cat in the Hat* is a transmogrified Saint Nick, with his candy cane striped hat. He even has two of his elves with him - Thing One and Thing Two. They bode no earth...

I never really read anything by Dr. Seuss when I was younger (I only recently read *How the Grinch Stole Christmas!*). And I just remember always seeing his books mentioned in YA circles and wondering what that was all about. And I still don't know why only a couple of his books were ever translated into other languages. Anyway, *The Cat in the Hat* was quite a fun and quick read. But the important question is, has anyone ever done a horror version of *The Cat in the Hat* because it's just beggi...

This book, *The Cat in the Hat*, is a stone-cold classic, and honestly, what can I say that hasn't already been said a million times? You just can't go wrong with Dr. Seuss, and there's a darn good reason why folks from every generation know and love this book. Simply put, *The Cat in the Hat* is a blast to read. Doesn't matter if you're a kid or a grown-up. Most of the words are super easy to recognize, so it's perfect for beginner readers. The story is wonderfully bonkers, and the rhymes have ...

Dr. Seuss's most cynical political work describes the cycle of every generation: first you hate the machine, then you rage against the machine, then you forgive the machine, then you become the machine.Sally and her brother, who, like Dostoevsky's sick man and Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man, will remain unnamed, join with the force of revolution, embodied by The Cat in the Hat. Together they recruit agents of change and chaos - the furious Things One and Two - to dismantle the oppressive world bu...

Without a doubt one of the signature Seuss' books
THE SCHRODINGER'S CAT IS OUT OF THE HAT
He should not be here.
He should not be about,
He should not be here,
When your mother is out,
It was a tale hard to rate,......and I imagine how shocked many of you must be when you see my 3-star rating.Three stars?! For *The Cat in the Hat*?! The very story that's an emblem of Dr. Seuss's work?!Well, before calling the Zooks and Yooks to start a war against me, let me explain my personal...

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, I'm doing my annual review of one of his books. Usually, these reviews are all sunshine and rainbows, but today we're spending a minute with the book that makes me want to… well…
I know *The Cat in the Hat* is a classic, and it's Dr. Seuss, and no one is supposed to blaspheme when it comes to his good name, but come on! Two kids who are dumb enough to let a creepy effing CAT into their house, only to have him nearly demolish the place, are obviously not matur...

Book Review
Everyone's heard of Dr. Seuss (I hope!). 4 stars for The Cat in the Hat, an adorable children's book full of amusing little pictures and rhymes.Kids love the absurdity. It's an opportunity for the reader to use different voices... to dress up... to be free and fun and just enjoy reading. It's a classic Dr. Seuss book!Though it could be used as a way to teach kids about rhymes, as well as what's real and not real... my recommendation with this one is to just HAVE FUN! Act o...

This "kids' book" is, in my opinion, a straight-up horror story. Why, you ask? What's scary about a funny-looking cat? *shudder* Well, what's so scary about these cute things?(Okay, that last one is admittedly not scary. Still doesn't make it any less of a nightmare.)Sometimes I have nightmares where everything goes wrong, but I'm helpless to do anything about it. What's worse, the voice of reason is completely absent. Well, that pretty much sums up the plot of *The Cat in the Hat* by Dr. Seuss....

I love that at the end of **The Cat in the Hat**, when the mother comes home and the text reads:Should we tell her about it?Now, what SHOULD we do?Well...What would YOU doIf your mother asked YOU?My daughter always looks up at me and says: I would tell you. But I don't believe her. I think it's quite possible that **The Cat in the Hat** by **Dr. Seuss** has already been here, and she's just telling me what I want to hear. This is a classic kids' book, and a must-read for any child's library. If ...
