This was the first book I chose to kickstart my 2023 reading list, and having come fresh out of an awesome Lemony Snicket title in December that left me hankering for more whimsy and spell, I realized I really couldn’t have picked better.
*The Lost Children of Gloam’s End* is a rich, atmospheric story that has been expertly crafted with can’t-put-it-down pacing and filled with all the right kind of haunting artifacts. There are little children and an abandoned orphanage and an eccentric lady wh...

Ghost stories usually aren't my thing, but I'm so glad I picked up "The Lost Children of Gloam's End" because it completely captivated me. It was a little spooky at the beginning, but I was immediately drawn in and had to keep reading until the very end. This haunting tale is beautifully written and really makes you think. Clementine Darling's writing style is incredibly poetic. I found myself going back and rereading certain parts more than once simply because they were so gorgeous. I was expec...

This book centers around a young girl named Josie as she attempts to unravel the enigma surrounding the disappearances of 11 children at Bramstone Hall. The Lost Children of Gloam's End is a masterful blend of chills, sorrow, and heartwarming moments. I was so utterly engrossed in the story that I even sneaked a read during class. You simply can't get enough of Clementine Darling's writing!I own the full-color edition, and the photographs are absolutely stunning. If you're thinking about picking...

Okay, seriously, this book is incredible! My mom's been obsessed with Clementine Darling's Instagram for ages, and when I heard "her doll" was writing a book, I was beyond hyped. I was already thinking, Clementine Darling is crazy talented and creative – she makes dolls AND writes stories? The whole idea of Clementine, her doll persona, writing "The Lost Children of Gloam's End" is just so cool and original. The descriptions of the ghosts were so vividly creepy, I got legit chills 😅. I swear, I...

SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE 'The Lost Children of Gloam's End' INTO A MOVIE, STAT. I'm writing this review with fingers crossed that someone in Hollywood picks it up! It's so haunting and imaginative—I can't stop thinking about it. I even grabbed a copy for my 13-year-old niece, and she's totally hooked too. It's been awesome chatting about Clementine Darling's book with her. The writing is gorgeous, and there are plenty of ghosts. Absolutely loved 'The Lost Children of Gloam's End'!

It's not often I stumble upon a book that makes me want to immediately reread it, just to fully absorb the atmosphere. I completely understand why some readers are saying that "The Lost Children of Gloam's End" should be adapted into a film. Clementine Darling's writing is so imaginative and richly detailed that I can vividly picture everything. What a stunning book; I absolutely loved "The Lost Children of Gloam's End"!

Every now and then, you stumble upon a book that’s impossible to put down, yet you also dread finishing it because you wish it could continue forever. Or, at the very least, that it's part of a series with more adventures to dive into. That’s precisely how I felt reading Clementine Darling’s magical novel, **The Lost Children of Gloam's End**, a story that’s equal parts mystery, ghost story, and coming-of-age tale. I could practically hear Josie’s voice, the main character, as I read, as if she ...

I almost never write reviews, but I felt compelled to for this one. I finished "The Lost Children of Gloam's End" last night, and I'm still a little stunned and shaken. I actually grabbed Clementine Darling's book on a whim – it's a debut novel – but the artwork really caught my eye. The summary on the back was intriguing, but once I started reading, I realized this was a seriously dark story, which is exactly what I love. The pacing was perfect, and the imagination on display was just incredibl...

Wow, this is honestly one of the best books I've read in ages. It's a debut novel by Clementine Darling, who's known for her doll art, but I've been following her writing snippets on Instagram for years, so I was dying to read a full-length story by her. And let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed! "The Lost Children of Gloam's End" is a truly unique novel, incorporating photos and miniature art. It's so imaginative and original. Haunting and deeply moving, I even read it with my 10-year-old, and...

Okay, I just finished reading this and I absolutely HAD to share my thoughts. *The Lost Children of Gloam's End* was truly unlike anything I've ever read. Combined with the stunning artwork and photographs, it made for such a captivating read – I simply couldn't put it down! The way Clementine Darling unfolded the story, the vivid descriptions... I could completely visualize everything (makes sense, since she's a doll artist!). I really hope they turn *The Lost Children of Gloam's End* into a mo...
