I've honestly never read a book quite so poetic! 10/10, absolutely loved it, and I'll definitely be seeking out more like it. If you're looking for an accessible and beautifully written introduction to the Goddess, Nikita Gill's "Hecate: Goddess of Witchcraft" is a must-read. Definitely one of the best witchcraft books I've picked up recently!

I don't want to be dramatic, but I was absolutely losing it, in a full Michael Scott panic, when I randomly stumbled upon this book. Are you telling me there's a whole book about Hecate: Goddess of Witchcraft, the coolest goddess in Greek mythology, right up there with Nyx and Nemesis, and I didn't know about it?Hold me closer, tiny necromancer. For those who need a quick refresher on Hecate, she's the ancient goddess of magic, witchcraft, and necromancy. Both her parents were Titans: her father ...

I needed a book to complement my current (and seriously time-consuming) Hecate: Goddess of Witchcraft obsession, and this one really hit the spot. I'm a sucker for anything Greek mythology, especially the gods and goddesses of the underworld, and books written in verse have always been a win for me. That being said, Nikita Gill's writing didn't quite pack the punch I'm used to from similar books. The story moved at lightning speed, and it was tough to really connect with the characters. I still ...

DNF. My bad, I completely missed that *Hecate: Goddess of Witchcraft* by Nikita Gill is written in verse. Just can't get into that format, so this one's totally on me.

4.8⭐️🖤Greek mythology retelling🖤Written in poem form (verse)🖤Female Rage and Empowerment 🖤A sprinkle of politics, romance, and Greek mythology🖤Dark, inspiring, and thought provoking (Spoiler-free, as always!)Okay, I loved this. I loved loved loved this. I have never read something this long in verse before, and I absolutely enjoyed that. Also, as someone who has studied witchcraft AND Greek mythology, this was such a delicious, satisfying, soul-quenching experience. I was nervous initially,...

Thank you Netgalley and Little Brown Books for Young Readers for an ARC of this book!! This might be a 6 🌟 or ♾️ 🌟 book. I'll have to come back and update. Those typically depend on how the whole book ferments throughout the days once I've finished it. This was not a normal book for me. As someone who has studied witchcraft for the better part of a decade, Hecate has been someone very near & dear to my heart for a long time. I knew going in that I was gambling. I was either going to love it ...

⊹ ࣪ ˖ 1.75 stars ⊹ ࣪ ˖A big thank you to Little Brown Books for Young Readers and Netgalley for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review!Expected Publication Date: September 16th, 2025Unfortunately, not my cup of tea 🙁This book is written almost entirely in verse (there are some sections written as full paragraphs), and I fear I wasn't able to connect with Hecate or the plot very well because of that. I know now that Nikita Gill is well known for her poetry, so her fans will most li...
