I’m Brandon Sanderson, and I write stories of the fantastic: fantasy, science fiction, and thrillers. The release of Wind and Truth in December 2024—the fifth and final book in the first arc of the #1 New York Times bestselling Stormlight Archive series—marks a significant milestone for me. This series is my love letter...

Brandon Sanderson has officially dethroned Jonah Hill as the absolute worst person to get therapy advice from. Seriously. My predictions for *Wind and Truth (The Stormlight Archive, Book 5)*: Kaladin invents the DSM and makes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy the gold standard for mental health across the Cosmere. Sanderson, completely out of time, has someone call Shallan 'delulu.' Odium finally figures out his daddy issues are the source of all his problems and decides to be a better person. And Sze...

If contract law and eavesdropping on other people’s therapy sessions gets you going, then you’ll absolutely adore Brandon Sanderson's *Wind and Truth (The Stormlight Archive, Book 5)*. Looking for a lengthy read with intricate world-building? This one delivers.

Okay, making us wait ten years for the next book should be a crime, but considering "Wind and Truth (The Stormlight Archive, Book 5)" was my most anticipated read of the year—and the finale of the first era of one of the greatest fantasy series ever—it totally delivered.Seriously, it delivered big time. All the major plotlines from the Stormlight Archive books came together and exploded in "Wind and Truth (The Stormlight Archive, Book 5)". I won’t spoil anything, but let's just say I'm even more...

Okay, I've decided to scrap my previous review because I don't think I explained myself properly. Simply put, I didn't enjoy *Wind and Truth (The Stormlight Archive, Book 5)*. In my last attempt, I said it felt like a "Disney-esque gay romance," which wasn't the most articulate way to put it. A lot of people misinterpreted that as "I hate gay people," and that's absolutely not what I meant. I don't hate anyone; that goes against my Christian beliefs. If you're confused about my stance, check out...

DNF. I'm putting down Wind and Truth (The Stormlight Archive, Book 5). My conscience and convictions won't let me continue. Same-sex romance is an automatic DNF for me. Disappointing, but time to move on to something else.
*Edit*
To clarify for those who can't tolerate Christian values: This feels quite different in intent from when Sanderson mentioned same-sex relationships in previous books. Yes, there was a passing reference to a couple in Oathbringer, and you can definitely see Renarin's pr...

The Stormlight Archive is probably the most important fantasy series of the last 15 years. It's frustrating, then, how conflicted I feel about it – conflicted enough to actually write my first ever review. However, this is more a review of the series as a whole, rather than specifically of *Wind and Truth (The Stormlight Archive, Book 5)*.SPOILERS below, covering all 5 books of the seriesDon't get me wrong, there's a lot to love about this series. The ambition and creativity are nothing short of...

Sanderson, I'm begging you, on my knees, pleading with you, PLEASE hire another editor
I'm still pissed off 6 months later, so one star it is for *Wind and Truth (The Stormlight Archive, Book 5)*. Seriously, Brandon Sanderson needs a better editor.

One Billion Stars!“An oath could be broken, but a promise? A promise stood as long as you were still trying. A promise understood that sometimes your best wasn’t enough. A promise cried with you when all went to Damnation. A promise came to help when you could barely stand. Because a promise knew that sometimes, being there was all you could offer.”
Absolutely speechless!!

Dune Chapter 1 in the style of Brandon Sanderson:
Paul Atreides was sweating. What time was it? Ah, yes, it was a week… a week before … before … what exactly? In one week we are leaving for Arrakis, he thought. They also call it Dune. But I was born on Caladan. The room was hot. He held his Breath.
Wasn’t there supposed to be some old woman coming to visit mother today?
It was warm. He was at the Castle. Castle Caladan, it was called. It was a pile of Stone. Yet it was his home.26 years now. N...

“How?” Ishar repeated. “What are you?” He gestured toward Szeth. “Are
you … are you his spren? His god?”
“No,” Kaladin said. “I’m his therapist.”
Oh, shut the **** up.
The Stormlight Archive has always been a flawed series, but the drastic drop in quality in Wind and Truth is just downright bizarre. This will be the last Brandon Sanderson book I read. I am done. I'm looking for better fantasy book reviews from now on.
