Not wasting another six hours of my life finishing **We Love You, Bunny** by Mona Awad. Seriously, I'm done. This book and I are breaking up. Consider this my official 'did not finish' review. If you're looking for a good book review that *recommends* a book, keep scrolling. This ain't it.

I honestly didn't expect to cry while reading *We Love You, Bunny*, but life keeps throwing curveballs. I loved this sequel even more than the first book, and I genuinely think it deserves a six-star rating. Everything about *We Love You, Bunny* not only met my expectations but blew them out of the water. I had such a blast reading it, and I cried so hard I felt like I was losing my mind in an emotional hurricane. It could have been a bit shorter, since the story dragged a little towards the en...

OMG, "We Love You, Bunny" by Mona Awad just absolutely wrecked me! This book was so incredibly savage and the writing? Pure genius! I am GAGGED. Seriously, I'm still screaming internally. This is the kind of dark, twisted book review you need to read if you're looking for something truly shocking. Like, olalalalalalalalala!

We really do.Or at least, I used to.https://emmareadstoomuch.substack.com...Folks, it brings me absolutely no joy to say this...But we're looking at a blatant cash grab here. This is 496 pages of that weird glass cube thing where people climb inside and get pummeled with air while trying to grab circulating money. It's the literary equivalent of a scratch-off lottery ticket, except it's not even that good, because at least the scratch-off provides a tiny bit of entertainment. It claims (on the pag...

3.5 starsOur wackos are bacckkk, bunny!!! 🐰🐰🐰🐰If book one felt like I’d been tossed headfirst into a full-blown psychedelic trip, colors melting and reality bending all over the place, *We Love You, Bunny* felt more like wandering through the woods *after*. Still strange, still surreal, but somehow quieter. Everything's still weird and trippy, just with a different kind of energy. The chaos is still there. The confusion remains. But the impact just isn’t quite the same as the first book.This...

This was officially my least favorite read of 2025, btw. <3---Giving a Mona Awad book one star? Giving a sequel to one of my all-time favorite books a single star? I can explain…but buckle up, it's a long ride! Also, for those confused in the comments: yes, I read the entire book. Yes, I'm aware this review was written before publication. I received an early copy from the publisher to review it.I rarely give books a one-star rating. As of writing this, less than 5% of the books I’ve rated on G...

Seriously, how are people giving this book 1- or 2-star ratings (or anything else!) when it doesn’t even come out until September? You all need to cut that crap out. Got an ARC? Then write a real review with actual thoughts, or you just come across as petty, ridiculous, and probably jealous too. Rate however you want *after* you’ve actually read (or tried to read) Mona Awad's "We Love You, Bunny". Trying to manipulate reviews seven months before "We Love You, Bunny" even hits shelves is *so* 201...

My wee bunny teeth are gnawing at the bars of their enclosure for this────────── 𝜗𝜚 ───────────3.5 — Though I always considered *Bunny* to be a fun cult classic – adjacent to one of those egregiously unserious 90s films that for some reason is imbued with an unexplainable charm – I never saw it needing any sort of follow-up but was intrigued when a sequel was announced nonetheless. In this second installment the roles are flipped and our endearingly asocial protagonist Samantha becomes the sub...

[3.5 stars]I loved Bunny, and Mona Awad's new book, **We Love You, Bunny**, continues that love! It pokes fun at the act of creation, especially satirizing the cult-like language and practices in elitist institutions of higher education. Awad is a very clever, bold, and skilled writer who has been on both sides of the MFA aisle, as student and teacher, and that experience really shines through. She even takes it one step further, giving a voice to the creation, a la Frankenstein, which I truly l...
