“The only other calling I ever felt was an irrepressible desire to be Captain of my own Starship. I was born in the wrong century and it wasn’t possible, so I chose to explore the universe by writing fiction instead. Books are doors to endless adventure.” -KMMKaren Marie Moning is the #1 NYT bestselling author of the F...

4.5-5 "felt this in my loins" stars!"For he owned the beast and the beast owned him..."This book was such a surprise! I am head-over-heels for a Berserker named Gabriel "Grimm" Roderick. Ever since binging *The Last Kingdom*, I've been craving reads like this. There's nothing like a wild beast of a man who'll fight to the death for his woman. NOTHING.This story had paranormal elements, and I love the way Karen Marie Moning writes all her stories. She's set the gold standard for paranormal romanc...

Mom and Dad, take note: you should have done what Jillian's parents did for her a decade ago. Just ship me three absolute beefcakes and leave me to sort it out.

The heroine's a bit of a weirdo, but *To Tame a Highland Warrior* by Karen Marie Moning is such a blast to read. Definitely a fun romance book!

Over and out.

Delightful and sensual! The second book in the series takes us on a new journey with new characters, while bringing back some tried-and-true favorites from the first. This time, we're off to Scotland in the 1500s. We follow the story of Jillian and Grimm as they navigate old family secrets and a plot to destroy Grimm and his heritage, all while finding their path to love.Just like the first, this book is very well written. The romance scenes are nice, hot, and steamy. The build-up to the climax i...

★1 star..★ - FULL ON RAMBLING AHEAD! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!It pains me to give this book a one-star rating. There were so many things I found irritating in Karen Marie Moning's *To Tame a Highland Warrior*, and the main characters were a huge part of that.I get that *To Tame a Highland Warrior* is a second-chance-at-romance kind of book, and I went in KNOWING that it would take a bit of time before the two main characters let go of their resentment and pride and got back together. But DAMN IT! D...

This is a charming love story about Grimm, the strong Highland warrior who wished upon the stars for his best friend Hawk to find true love in the first book of the series. Now, in "To Tame a Highland Warrior" by Karen Marie Moning, Grimm has a true love of his own, but for reasons close to his heart, he's been trying to avoid her…until her father decides to play matchmaker! My absolute favorite scene was the daring bride-stealing from the church. I sincerely hope to find more scenes like that i...

Is there some unspoken rule in historical romance that the male lead *has* to be a total jerk? And the woman, a complete and utter idiot? Because this is the second book in a row where I've been completely disgusted by how my gender is portrayed. Okay, sure, some women like reformed bad boys—*reformed* being the key word. But the idea that we all go weak in the knees when a guy treats us like dirt? That might give guys the wrong impression (not to mention the girls reading this stuff!).Being ign...

Re-read: 10/24/21 After wading through a rather uninspired erotic romance featuring a berserker yesterday, I felt compelled to revisit a truly excellent romance about a berserker last night... and here we are. Apparently, I never properly reviewed "To Tame a Highland Warrior" by Karen Marie Moning, as I first read it long before Goodreads even existed. I'll simply say that if you enjoy classic Highlander romance with a touch of the paranormal, then "To Tame a Highland Warrior" (and this series...

2 1/2 to 3 starsI'm actually glad I didn't read these books in order (they work perfectly well as standalones). Honestly, I'm not sure I would have stuck with the series if I'd started with the first three. For me, the series didn't really grab me until after the third book. Books four, five, and six are my absolute favorites, especially book six, *The Immortal Highlander*. That said, you really need to read books four, five, six, and seven in order to get the full story.I recommend reading the ...

I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed *To Tame a Highland Warrior*. After reading the first book and being underwhelmed by the time travel aspect, I assumed this one would be much the same. However, in my opinion, this book is much better than the first. With the exception of a few characters mentioned from the first book in the series, *To Tame a Highland Warrior* by Karen Marie Moning can easily be read as a standalone novel. Why did this one work for me? Well, no time travel, for on...

I absolutely loved "To Tame a Highland Warrior".Honestly, I don't understand why some people suggest skipping the first two books in the series. While they might not be quite as amazing as the later ones, I think they're still worth reading. The first book was good, but "To Tame a Highland Warrior" was truly awesome. I have a feeling this series is quickly going to become one of my all-time favorites. I'm not quite adding "To Tame a Highland Warrior" to that list just yet, but if the rest of Kar...
