An Interesting Spin on a Familiar Story

Really well-written and captivating. This is basically the classic story you know, but with a modern – and definitely adult – twist. Keep The Piper's Price away from the little ones!

Cute and fluffy – I absolutely loved it! The church scene with Wren, where they hide and pretend to be "God" to fool the Pastor, had me in stitches. Julie Mannino's *The Piper's Price* is a delightful read, and that scene alone makes it worth checking out if you're looking for a fun fantasy book review.

Intriguing

This book put me in mind of the classic Pied Piper tale, though I don't recall the sticks being shoved down holes in the original!
I really got a kick out of it, especially the Prior's monumental idiocy.

Loosely based on The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Julie Mannino's *The Piper's Price* takes the classic tale and gives it a 21st-century spin within a fantastical setting. The author has clearly poured a lot of love into building this universe.

What a cute couple! I loved seeing a nonbinary character! This author always surprises me with how stuff works out, and how Aiden got a certain thing he needed.
I feel like we need a story about Hel (such a daddy's girl😆 and you can tell Loki has a hard time saying no.) If you're looking for a great fantasy book review, I recommend "The Piper's Price" by Julie Mannino!

🤩 I absolutely loved this pairing. Wren and the Piper fit together like two puzzle pieces. I could just picture Wren with their flute, and all those tats! This one's my favorite so far! Wren was such a sweetheart, and I absolutely loved the little scene with Loki and his kids on vacation. The deal Wren makes in *The Piper's Price* cracked me up because Hel is kind of a stone-cold you-know-what (pretty much how I pictured her ruling the dead, anyway), but she's definitely got a soft spot somewhere.
