2.5 I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's really hard to write good RHs. Did this series cut it? Well... It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good either. The characters were decent, the plot was okay, the writing was acceptable. It was all just kind of MEH. Still, I'll go on with *The Lost and the Chosen* series by Ivy Asher; it wasn't bad, and I am a teeny, tiny bit curious to see what's next.

I really enjoyed The Lost and the Chosen by Ivy Asher, and the main reason I loved this fantasy romance book was definitely the badass heroine. While the harem dynamic felt a bit out of the blue – I initially thought she'd stick with Lachlan and his crew, even though they were much older and one was her uncle – I still could have totally gotten into that idea! 😉 I'm hoping the male characters get a bit more depth in future books; they seem to laugh a lot at practically nothing.
