I always imagined Death's final kiss would be cold. It wasn't. Four years later, I can still remember the exact shade of his skin: a blue so pale it looked like moonlight. I dream of his touch. Mostly, I paint the man under the heavy cowl, including those perfect lips which ruined mine for anyone el...

Sensational Paranormal RH!Auryn Hadley's The Kiss of Death (The Demons' Muse, #1) was absolutely brilliant. I'm always amazed by Hadley's talent for crafting characters you can't help but adore, building worlds that practically beg to be explored, and weaving stories that literally pull you in.Meet the characters:-Sia the muse-Nick aka Old Nick aka Satanael aka Satan-Sam aka Samyaza-Luke aka Lucifer the fallen angel-Bel aka BeelzebubThis is a fantastic first installment, and I wholeheartedly rec...

I'm really torn on this one. I didn't hate *The Kiss of Death (The Demons' Muse, #1)* by Auryn Hadley, but I didn't exactly love it either. The plot certainly intrigued me, but for a 500-page book, I really expected more. I mean, the harem isn't even established yet! I have a pretty good idea who else will be in it, but that's just a guess.I will say, it was a bit annoying how much it was repeated how special Sienna was.Despite my reservations, I will continue with this urban fantasy romance seri...

DNF at 30%I try not to DNF books before 50%, but Auryn Hadley's *The Kiss of Death (The Demons' Muse, #1)* is so damn long and nothing is happening that I feel completely justified in stopping. This honest book review reflects my frustration.Seriously, it feels like it's just dragging along, and it’s over 500 pages? For a fantasy romance review, I expect more plot progression.I'm not against long books at all. I just bought a Norton Anthology for fun, for crying out loud. But I am against long b...

This is one long ass boring book. It's always the way: when I'm in the mood for a lengthy read, I can't find one, but the books I desperately want to finish quickly turn into encyclopedias. Absolutely nothing happens in Auryn Hadley's *The Kiss of Death (The Demons' Muse, #1)*; the plot was incredibly dull. I got tired of hearing how special Sienna was, grew weary of Nick's constant insecurities, and was utterly exhausted trying to figure out when the Reverse Harem aspect would actually begin. F...

⚑ Read for the 2018 KU Shitathonβ„’ challenge over at the MacHalos ⚑ I haven't read such original blasphemy in forever! Finally getting around to writing a few words about this fantastic read β€” Hallelujah! This book, *The Kiss of Death (The Demons' Muse, #1)* by Auryn Hadley, isn't for everyone. One might say that it takes religion and rips it to shreds. That, however, would be false. Instead, this supernatural fantasy deconstructs religion and myths down to nothing and then proceeds to build som...

LOL, this was seriously bad. How does The Kiss of Death (The Demons' Muse, #1) get good ratings? It's all nonsense filler where you just wait around for something to happen. The dialogue is painful as hell. The main character just sounds like an idiot, and Auryn Hadley manages to write her as both boy-crazy and prudish at the same time. The only interesting scene in the entire book was the very first, involving a robbery. Absolutely nothing worthwhile happened after that. I'm not religious and ...

If you are a very religious person and easily offended, you should probably not read this book; **The Kiss of Death (The Demons' Muse, #1)** is basically five hundred pages of blasphemy. To put it simply: this dark fantasy novel by Auryn Hadley destroys plenty of Christian teachings by simply setting up its universe; **there is no Heaven, no Hell, and no God.** Angels and demons have been there from the beginning of time, strolling around with dinosaurs, watching species evolve, and fighting wit...

This review may not be as eloquent as some, but so many people have rated The Kiss of Death by Auryn Hadley so highly, I felt it was my duty to post something for those of us in the minority (it seems). My main problem with this book is:In one word - EverythingBut that's not really helpful, so here's a list:✘ Religion. Normally I can deal with the twisting of Christianity, BUT I draw the line at Jesus. Please leave him out of it.✘ The long-winded physics lessons – a lot of the book is technical j...
