“The only other calling I ever felt was an irrepressible desire to be Captain of my own Starship. I was born in the wrong century and it wasn’t possible, so I chose to explore the universe by writing fiction instead. Books are doors to endless adventure.” -KMMKaren Marie Moning is the #1 NYT bestselling author of the F...

The Highlander's Touch by Karen Marie Moning. After watching Braveheart, I immediately felt the urge to read a Scottish-themed book, so I picked up The Highlander's Touch, and it felt like I was watching a fantastic sequel to Braveheart! The movie helped me dive right into the story. I can't even begin to describe how vividly the settings came to life in my mind...Those who've read Karen Marie Moning's Fever series know about the Druids. In The Highlander's Touch, we meet Circenn, a Druid. This ...

Karen, I absolutely adore you ❤️ It's unbelievable how she can take a cliché topic and make it so magnificent. And the way she tied it into the Fever series made me so happy 🤗 Circenn was incredibly hot. I've always said I have a weakness for Scots, but this man was something else entirely ❤️ I highly recommend "The Highlander's Touch" by Karen Marie Moning for anyone looking for a steamy historical romance. It's a fantastic read, perfect for fans of Scottish heroes! If you love Karen Marie M...

Speaking of awful books, I just remembered reading Karen Marie Moning's *The Highlander's Touch* earlier this year and completely forgot to mark it as 'read.' Honestly, this book feels like a rough draft, a practice run before she hit her stride with the Fever series (which I absolutely devoured). Okay, so she can write a steamy scene, but that's about the only thing this book has going for it. Wouldn't recommend it as a good romance book, that's for sure.

Circenn is immortal in Scotland, and he absolutely loathes it. For the past 500 years, he's been forced to watch everyone he loves – wives, cherished pets – die around him. Lisa lives in the 21st century. She's juggling two jobs to care for her sick mother and keep up with the bills. With a touch of magic, she finds herself transported to old Scotland, where Circenn has already sworn an oath to kill her. Naturally, they fall in love. In "The Highlander's Touch" by Karen Marie Moning, Adam Blac...

3 to 3 1/2 starsI'm actually glad I dove into this series a little out of sync (and thankfully, these books work perfectly fine that way). Honestly, I'm not sure I would have stuck with it if I'd tackled the first three books in order. For me, the series didn't really grab me until after the third installment. Books four, five, and six are my absolute favorites, with The Immortal Highlander being the standout. That said, you definitely need to read books four, five, six, and seven in sequence.He...

Alright, *The Highlander's Touch* is the third book in Karen Marie Moning's *Highlander* series, and once again, we're diving deep into time travel. This time though, maybe because I'm finally getting used to it, or maybe it's just better written, the time travel aspect didn't bug me nearly as much as it did in *Beyond the Highland Mist* and other time-travel stories I've read. Honestly, I hope it's just me warming up to the whole theme, because I feel like I've been missing out on some great Hi...

Okay, I'm just going to say it: I am utterly, completely ashamed of myself. How can I possibly give **The Highlander's Touch** more stars than *Madame Bovary*? It's ridiculous. It's almost offensive. And the worst part? It barely even makes sense. Let's be clear: I don't even *like* historical romance novels!Go on, try to find something dignified about this. I dare you.And time-travel historical romance? Forget about it. I *definitely* don't like the whole modern woman meets hunky Highlander warr...

Posted on Under the CoversIf a cursed flask holding an immortal elixir is what it takes to travel back in time to find a Highlander hottie like Circenn, then I’m getting my butt on the next train to the museum!Lisa Stone is twenty-three years old. Her mother, Catherine is sick with cancer and solely relies on her daughter to provide for her in her dying days. Instead of attending college with her friends, Lisa works two jobs, one of which is at a museum. Little does Lisa know that the ancient fl...

Now I totally get why "everyone" is obsessed with this series! :) Circenn Brodie is seriously one of the most "delicious" heroes I've ever encountered. Seriously tall, dark, and ridiculously handsome! The scene where Lisa finds him asleep outside her bedroom door? I melted into a puddle of pure adoration. It reminded me a bit of a similar scene from Kinley MacGregor's *Born in Sin*, and, now that I think about it, Circenn's nickname was almost identical to the hero's name in that book, but hone...

Circenn and Lisa's story in "The Highlander's Touch" is captivating! Circenn is a half-human, half-fae man living in the 14th century. He's also immortal, thanks to Adam Black slipping him some magic Fae liquid back in his 30s. Circenn is quite the broody brute (sorry, I couldn't resist!). He put a curse on a flask, ensuring it always returns to him. Little does he know, this curse will also bring back whoever touches it... Cue Lisa, working the night shift as a museum cleaner. Her curiosity get...
