Quite possibly the densest children’s series I’ve ever read. It was a real slog to get through this last book, struggling to follow the horde of characters and literary/historical references while the plot remained quite dull. Series finale time. It's always tough saying goodbye to a good series, but a part of me was actually relieved that everything (or mostly everything) got wrapped up, and the characters could finally get the rest they'd definitely earned. This is one of those series where every time I finish a book, I'm sad it's over. I'm especially sad it's over because this is the last book in the entire series...
