Wow! I was really looking forward to reading The Cavalier (Heroes of the Empire, Book 1) and it did not disappoint! Buddy read this with my new book bestie. I want to start by saying that this is an indie book, and it's the first in the series by a really talented new author, Israh Azizi.
I can't get enough of the characters in The Cavalier (Heroes of the Empire, Book 1). They were so complex and enjoyable to read. Loved their relationships and really felt their struggles. Very realistic, relat...

Buddy read this one! I highly recommend "The Cavalier (Heroes of the Empire, Book 1)" by Israh Azizi if you're looking for a young adult action/adventure. It has a great medieval vibe and is full of fun, relatable characters inhabiting a fantastic fantasy world. The plot revolves around the search for an elusive golden crown with mystical powers, which is at the heart of all the power struggles and war. "The Cavalier" is the first book in the Heroes of the Empire series by Israh Azizi, and it's ...

Not what you expect... morally grey characters, warrior academy, hidden powers, unique magic system, doppelgangers, damsel in distress, political/royal intrigue, slow burn, medieval world, coming-of-age explosion. Action and adventure, plot twists, cliffhanger ending, a fine line between good vs. evil, awesome world-building, and a wonderful map! Classic fantasy. I re-read The Cavalier (Heroes of the Empire, Book 1) by Israh Azizi and am eagerly awaiting the next installment. If you're looking f...

Five-star debut! I absolutely loved "The Cavalier (Heroes of the Empire, Book 1)" from the very first page. The cover is stunning, the map is fantastic, and the pronunciation guide is such a thoughtful touch. And I loved the dedication! I always try to support Muslim authors and indie authors, and Israh Azizi is both. The characters feel so real and relatable, and they're all so well-developed. The female main character is strong throughout her struggles, constantly fighting even when everything...

I'll start this review by mentioning that I received Israh Azizi’s novel, "The Cavalier (Heroes of the Empire, Book 1)" as part of a giveaway from Goodreads and Page Turner Press. Thanks to both for the free copy!
I've been burned before by independently published books. Most of them *look* like they're indie books—terrible cover art, text crammed to the edges, ugly fonts that look like they came straight from an office printer. Which, to be fair, isn't a reason to automatically hate a book. Th...

A five-star debut for me! "The Cavalier (Heroes of the Empire, Book 1)" is an exciting read, packed with action and adventure, and just the right amount of sweet romance. I absolutely loved the medieval setting, the sword fights, archery, and jousting tournaments. The gripping, character-driven storyline really pulled me in, making me connect with the characters and their deep, complex pasts. It was so well-written that I even re-read it to savor all the details and catch any little gems I misse...

I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed Israh Azizi's debut novel, The Cavalier (Heroes of the Empire, Book 1). As someone who loves diving into a good series, this is a fantastic start. I really connected with the characters and found the world-building absolutely captivating. I'll definitely be buying The Cavalier for my teenage sons and my niece to read. It's exactly the kind of book I would have devoured when I was younger. I'm really excited to see where this series goes next! Thank...

It's been ages since I devoured a book this good. Non-stop action with just a *hint* of romance—chef's kiss! It's one of those stories that completely sucks you in, and you absolutely don't want it to end. Seriously, I could see the ending coming, and I almost stopped reading just to make the magic last a little longer (haha, I'm a mess). I'm loving both main characters' storylines, but I need more Moralie ASAP (totally obsessed at this point). The world-building is so creative (loved the map!),...

Even just reading the book blurb, I thought I knew what I was in for: the clichéd hero and damsel-in-distress princess. A typical theme in fantasy books. But I was so pleasantly surprised by what Israh Azizi delivered! Characters with depth, characters with promise, and a wonderfully original world that I absolutely didn't anticipate. The unique customs, the different kingdoms and lands... I really applaud the thoughtful world-building in **The Cavalier (Heroes of the Empire, Book 1)**.

Absolutely loved The Cavalier! I actually read it twice before writing this review. If you're into character-driven stories, this one's definitely for you. The book starts off strong with a fantastic map and a super helpful pronunciation guide. Gosh, I just adored the characters and all their internal conflicts, plus the dynamics and interactions between them were so well done – and only got better on the second read! I have to admit, Israh Azizi had me laughing out loud and crying more than onc...
