There's way more to it than you'd think, with a proper story within a story. A real page-turner that keeps you guessing. I usually only get to read during my lunch break, and honestly, **The Brooksie Anomaly** by Scott McElhaney had me so hooked I was always the last one to leave the office! Absolutely loved it. If you are looking for **good book recommendations**, look no further!

The Brooksie Anomaly had the potential to be a pretty good time travel book. It was clean, like Mr. Clean clean, but it was a bit of a slog to get through. I didn't really get the point of all the preaching in it... but hey, it happened. I also didn't understand why certain things happened either. So, yeah, in a way it was all kinds of confusing and dull for me.
Luckily, The Brooksie Anomaly was super short, and I somehow managed to finish it. And yeah, I totally broke out a bottle of wine, bot...

A sweet and wholesome time-travel romance
As someone who loves a good time-travel story, I really got into this one. Add a dash of historical fiction and a strong Christian message, and you've got this book. The only downside for me was the editing could be tighter. There were a few spots where the words ran together a bit too much. Overall, *The Brooksie Anomaly* by Scott McElhaney is a heartwarming read if you're looking for Christian time travel fiction.

Surprisingly good read!
Randomly selected this book, The Brooksie Anomaly by Scott McElhaney, from my Kindle library, and it pulled me right in. I was pleasantly surprised! A totally imaginary story, but it was suspenseful and had a good underlying lesson. Definitely recommend this as a quick and enjoyable book review read!

The premise of "The Brooksie Anomaly" by Scott McElhaney had me hooked, but it quickly devolved into feeling overly sanctimonious. Do people genuinely inject Bible verses into everyday conversations to win arguments? Nah. Unless they're a pastor or someone of that ilk! Plus, in the real world, folks don't just plop down next to strangers at breakfast and declare (and I'm paraphrasing), "I'm compelled to hate everyone because they'll inevitably let me down." The dialogue felt forced and unnatural...

This was a fantastic, quick time-traveling romance read. Clean content – no swearing or sexual content, and a Christian perspective. The story revolves around a secret door that acts as a portal to the 1920s. I'd recommend "The Brooksie Anomaly" for ages 16 and up, just be aware there's some mature subject matter. Four stars from me! I really enjoyed Scott McElhaney's "The Brooksie Anomaly". If you're looking for wholesome book reviews, this one's a winner!

Scott McElhaney's *The Brooksie Anomaly* is an awesome read, a tale of two souls separated by eighty years. We meet Patience Webb, a Hollywood actress in 1928 who's fed up with the direction her career is taking. She ditches Hollywood, leaving her agent in the dust, and decides to forge a brand new life free from agents, bosses, and, well, men. Fast forward to 2009, and we find Eddie, a twenty-three-year-old who inherits a house. The rumor mill whispers that his new place is haunted, a theory se...
