The Auctioneer (A Chase Hardeman Thriller, Book 1) by D.J. Williams is definitely a different kind of story than what I usually pick up. I was honestly anxious to reach the end, but not because of the excitement or suspense—it was purely because I just don't like leaving a book unfinished. If you're looking for an honest book review of this thriller, let's just say it wasn't quite my cup of tea.

It is honestly hard for me to review The Auctioneer (A Chase Hardeman Thriller, Book 1) by D.J. Williams. Every single scene was brilliantly presented, and the excitement never let up for a second. However, trying to put all the pieces together was incredibly difficult. There are so many plot lines, a massive cast of characters with names that are tough to keep track of, and plenty of events that just didn't seem linked to the others. Despite the confusion, it is still a solid 4-star thriller re...

The Auctioneer (A Chase Hardeman Thriller, Book 1) By D.J. Williams 4 stars With twists and turns, this action thriller truly hooks the reader from the start. While it might be a long way from the realms of total realism, this book satisfies any reader's desire for an easy-to-read thriller that blends mystery with plenty of pulse-pounding action. As he chases terrorists, the hero of the story is beaten and bashed repeatedly, yet he always manages to bounce back. Chase Hardeman, a former sp...

The protagonist, Chase, begins by investigating his father's mysterious death, but he uncovers far more than he ever bargained for, including dangerous government ...

I had no idea what Chase Hardeman had in store for me when I picked up The Auctioneer (A Chase Hardeman Thriller, Book 1). He is the perfect 'imperfect' hero with a great, unique backstory. The gritty (yet clean) twists and turns caused an obsession that could only be quenched by reading more... From the lovable sidekick Dax to the sultry 'Black Widow of Bratva,' this tale by D.J. Williams is filled with unforgettable characters that leave you wanting more with every page. This book reads like a...

The Auctioneer (A Chase Hardeman Thriller, Book 1) by D.J. Williams is, I truly hope, the first entry in what will become a long series. To say that it was action-packed would be a massive understatement; the entire book had me completely hooked from the first chapter all the way to the very end. At first glance, the book looked a bit intimidating at 447 pages, but it was such a smooth read that it flew by much faster than I expected. This is exactly what a top-tier action-adventure novel should...

D.J. Williams is a master storyteller who clearly knows how to craft a complex and compelling plot. In The Auctioneer (A Chase Hardeman Thriller, Book 1), his third (and best) international thriller, he has yet again created a heart-stopping narrative that grips you from the outset. This is a mile-a-minute read—ingenious, intelligent, and high-intensity. But, at the same time, there is a genuine authenticity to the writing. The characters are well-developed and three-dimensional; they truly feel...

My goodness, if there was a rating higher than five stars, I would give it. The publisher provided me with a copy of this book at no charge, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be among the first to read it. I’m now writing this review of my own volition. For fans of NCIS or 24, this book is absolutely for you; it is packed with action, intrigue, and mystery. D.J. Williams writes extremely well, and the story is easy to follow. It’s the kind of thriller that grips you from the very first...
