|| 2.0 stars || Ugh. Why did Ariana Nash's *Primal Sin* have to be such a letdown? It sounded so promising... The first 20% of *Primal Sin* was utterly confusing. I honestly didn't have a clue what was going on most of the time. I think Ariana Nash did this on purpose to create some mystery, but it just frustrated me. I was pretty much bored already, and the story hadn't even properly begun. Eventually, things started to click, and the plot and world-building picked up. I don't have many comp...

I'm really invested in this story & I want to move on to book 2 ASAP!!!✦ Pretty great world building.✦ Enemies-to-lovers!!🔪 Mikhail placed a soft kiss on the back of Severn's neck. "You ruin me..." he whispered.Severn grinned over his shoulder, proud to see Mikhail's eyes glassy, pupils full from desire. "I've only just begun." ✦ Great main characters! Severn and Mikhail both already stole my heart.✦ Some really intriguing side characters I desperately want to know more about.✦ A war between...

✅ M/M Smut✅ Severn✅ World-building✅ Angels and demons✅ Fast-paced and addictive✅ 2 POVs✅🆗 Plot ✅🆗 Romance 🆗 Secondary characters and backstories He’d been doing this for what felt like forever. Sometimes it felt as though he’d lived a lie longer than he’d lived the truth. After a brutal battle that cost him his wings, Severn, a Demon Lord, disguised himself as an angel to infiltrate their ranks, get close to their leader, the Guardian Mikhail, and kill him. Ten years later, Severn c...

4.5 stars. Ariana Nash proves once again that writing complex, outstanding, and utterly *addictive* fantasy is definitely her forte, because I immediately dove into the next book. Again. I adore angels in fantasy and paranormal stories, but it's incredibly challenging to portray them *as I envision them* without them becoming cheesy or cliché. Ariana Nash doesn't have that problem. Both the angels and demons in *Primal Sin* are intricate, challenging beings, each convinced that the other poses a...

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Might Contain Spoilers*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱ Hmm, I'm really not sure how I feel about Primal Sin. The flip-flop between hate and love for Severn felt way too sudden. One minute he's ready to kill Mikhail, the next he can't live without him. And honestly, Severn's hate for Mikhail didn't quite land for me. I just didn't see Mikhail's supposedly ruthless and cold side. He was nothing but kind to Severn. I think that's where Ariana Nash missed a step; she jumped straight into the story ten years into S...

4 'Angels & Demons' stars Haven, if he was falling, let him fall, because nothing had ever felt so right. The worldbuilding in **Primal Sin** is simply fantastic. Ariana Nash took an overly used fight between good and evil, between angels and demons, and gave it a uniquely fresh look. I especially liked that there was no religion aspect in the story. Imo, a paranormal romance is not a place to polemicize about what God did or didn't do and whether Lucifer fell of his own free will ...

**SPOILERS AHEAD, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK**Ariana Nash REALLY loves the enemies-to-lovers trope. Pretty much EVERY single one of her main books revolves around it. I'm usually not a fan, but she makes it work for me. She nails the push and pull, the character development, and the transformations. There are genuine reasons for the initial hate, how the two main characters connect, and then get torn apart by hate all over again.I do have a few issues. Here's my book review:1) I think Severen's reali...

Okay, first things first, I devoured **Primal Sin** in a single day! 😁Primal Sin, by Ariana Nash, kicks off a **complete** dark m/m fantasy series set in a gritty, almost dystopian, post-apocalyptic London. Angels and demons have been at war for decades. The angels hold the power in Aerie, their city high in the clouds above London's dark streets. Meanwhile, the demons lurk below in the shadows around the *Cauldron*, a refuge for war's survivors – humans, Nephilim (half-human/half-angel), and C...
