Percy Jackson's seventh grade year is surprisingly calm after averting a divine war. But the quiet shatters when Camp Half-Blood is threatened: its magical borders poisoned, leaving it vulnerable to monsters. To save the camp, Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson must brave the treacherous Sea of Monsters (a....

Notes: Heavy on high-seas adventures, this is a noticeable shift in tone, leaning more towards juvenile humor and less into the legends, lore, and landmark significance. It's a fun read, but those seeking the deeper mythological connections might find it somewhat lacking. Rick Riordan's *Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters* delivers plenty of action, but with a lighter touch than the first book. A solid choice for young readers looking for exciting fantasy book reviews.

✅ Reread (July 2024) It's been yearsss and the cliffhanger still hits 🤌🤌~•~•~ Original review- Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters is the most underrated book of the Percy Jackson series. I realize there are so many iconic moments in this one. This is the book where you really start to ship Percabeth. The slow burn is *chef's kiss*. The way Percy held Annabeth when they encountered the sirens 🥺 This book gives you a really good cliffhanger which just makes you want to pick up the next book ...

”We did all the standard numbers: ‘Down by the Aegean´, ´I Am My Own Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandpa´, ´This Land is Mino’s Land´. The bonfire was enchanted, so the louder you sang, the higher it rose, changing colour and heat with the mood of the crowd.”Sounds like a really nice night at Camp Halfblood, right? I mean who wouldn’t want to sing “This Land is Mino’s Land”? (On a side-note: Uncle Rick if you read this, can I please have the lyrics for those songs? *lol* I’d love to read them!!!) Un...

Notes: It discovers genuine emotion and character development amidst feelings of shame and raw, exposed wounds; the story unfolds far beyond the familiar shores of humanity, lost in utter chaos. A truly great read. If you love adventure books, definitely check out Rick Riordan's *Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters*. A great book review for middle grade readers!

I really enjoyed this book! Although, I have to admit, I didn't love it quite as much as the first one, *Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters*. Percy is such a fun narrator, and I'm excited to keep following his journey. Rick Riordan has created such a compelling world, and I'm eager to dive deeper. Definitely a great read for anyone looking for fun fantasy books!

Ahh, so good! Rick does it again! Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters is another fantastic installment in the series. Another 5-star review from Celyn! I accidentally read *Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters* to her out of order. We'd read book 1, then jumped to book 3. I usually hate it when people do that, but thankfully these books are pretty stand-alone. We just grabbed the wrong one rushing out the door.Actually, I can now better appreciate the overarching story across the books, and it's quite clever, so that's a bonus. This installment keeps up the great mix of Greek mythology, modern America, and teen...

I just want to scoop up Tyson, wrap him in a cozy blanket, give him a Rainbow Unicorn plushie, and shield him from all the bad things in the world. Seriously, Rick Riordan, how could you make us love a character so much in Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters only to put him through the wringer? This book review is basically just me needing to protect a fictional character at all costs. #bookreview #percyjackson

Tyson 4Ever. Some time after the events of *The Lightning Thief*, Camp Half-Blood's protective spells start to weaken to the point of almost breaking apart completely, leaving its borders wide open and unprotected from monster attacks. With the impending destruction of the only haven left for demigods, Percy, Annabeth, Tyson, and Clarisse embark on a desperate quest to find the Golden Fleece, the only sacred relic capable of healing Thalia’s Tree and restoring its defensive powers. On a separate...

A guy in Greek armor drew his sword and charged, but slipped in a puddle of pina colada.Seriously, who can't love a book with lines like that? I actually had the urge to grab *Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters* tightly and whack myself over the head for waiting so long to read this series. I just kept putting it off for some reason or another. Luckily, I came to my senses. For the most part, things have been pretty quiet this school year, and Percy even makes a new friend named Tyson, a giant...
