My jaw is literally still on the floor. I think the last 150 pages nearly gave me a heart attack. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! What have you guys done to me?? What am I getting myself into… my heart is already shattered and this is BOOK ONE?! Oh no no no no I’m never gonna survive this series. But I honestly don't even care because it was INCREDIBLE??? And everyone keeps telling me it only gets better and more painful from here?! I'm buckled in. No turning back now. Jesus Christ. To think I put off Br...

6/21 Re-reading...Thank the Lord Ruler I finally crawled out from whatever rock I was living under and finally decided to read this book. Because.It. Was. So. Fucking. Awesome.I have been telling myself for years that I should try and branch out from just romance, paranormal romance, UF romance, sci-fi alien smut and the occasional murder mystery or biography (not that there is a damn thing wrong with my beloved romance, but just to challenge myself to try something new) and attempt to tackle a ...

This one was a bit of a mixed bag for me. I've seen tons of opinions about Brandon Sanderson's books on the fantasy forums I frequent, and most of them are glowing. I was curious to see what made his books sell so many copies and earn such incredibly high average scores on Goodreads. The opening was strong and engaging. But then I started to lose momentum. For most of the book, I didn't think I'd be giving it 5 stars. I started to worry that I'd have a legion of Sanderson fans coming after me :o...

I now have a Booktube channel! Subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/petrikleoHere it is: the beginning of the trilogy that ignited my passion for reading fantasy novels. It’s been exactly one year and ten months since I first joined Goodreads and started reading Mistborn: The Final Empire; that was on September 1st, 2016. There’s no doubt that Mistborn: The Final Empire is an extremely important book for me. It’s hard to put into words; a cliché like “I absolutely love this book” just doesn't ...

I AM NOT OKAY. I AM STILL CRYING.
On to read the next book in the *Mistborn: The Final Empire* series! Brandon Sanderson has done it again. This is a book review from someone who is emotionally wrecked.

Sixth reread and still not tired of it.
I think that pretty much sums up how I feel about these books. Brandon Sanderson's *Mistborn: The Final Empire* is just that good. If you're looking for a fantasy book to sink your teeth into, this is it. A true modern classic. Highly recommend for any fantasy book review search!

Sometimes I revisit a book I loved ages ago, only to think, "What the actual fuck was I thinking?! This book is crap!!!!! Oh, young Khanh, you were so dumb :("
Thankfully, that was absolutely NOT the case with Brandon Sanderson's *Mistborn: The Final Empire*. I appreciated it much more the second time around. Maybe it just took time for me to truly appreciate the book. Or maybe it just shines in comparison to all the crap I've been reading (2.5 average rating last year, baby!). Either way, I a...

I can't remember the last time a book left me this conflicted. There are parts of Brandon Sanderson's *Mistborn: The Final Empire* that are so incredibly well done, where he just nails it, and then others where I was grinding my teeth in frustration. So, I'm ditching my usual short review format and just going to ramble about a few things. (Still no spoilers, though!) Sound good?Language. About two and a half chapters in, I asked myself, "Why does this feel like a YA fantasy novel?" It wasn't th...
