*A Few Spoilers*The Plot Thickens..The story centers around Kerri King who is now the president and CEO of Lacardi and Sons. She had a nasty case of the flu on September 11, 2001, but she pulls through it right when 9/11 happens. In London, Peter Tavaris, a senior trader for Lacardi, postpones the conference so he can follow the news of the NYC disaster. He has frequently been passed over by Charles Lacardi for senior management positions and also as president in favor of Kerri King. He *does not...

I received this audiobook from the author, narrator, or publisher in exchange for an honest review via Audiobook Boom.*Kerri's War* is the third and final book in the King trilogy by Stephen Douglass. Following the September 11th attacks, Kerri King faces the daunting task of rebuilding her company. This audiobook is fast-paced and full of action, with plenty of suspense that keeps you wondering who will come out on top.The narration was excellent, and the characters were brought to life effecti...

I'm so not ready for this series to be over. It's not that the series didn't wrap up perfectly in this third book, *Kerri's War* (because it totally did), but I'm so invested in these characters that I want to follow them until the very end. This book is packed with excitement, suspense, and a touch of romance, and it kept me hooked from beginning to end. The characters are genuinely interesting, and the premise, even though it's fiction, feels completely believable. I just can't get enough of t...

This is the third and final book in the King Trilogy. If at all possible, it was even better than the first two, which I absolutely loved. Once again, the action is non-stop and, at times, heart-stopping! The events of 9/11 figure prominently in this novel. A company, with the exception of four people, is decimated. Corporate intrigue, all too common in our investment world, interspersed with corporate greed and shenanigans, will have you thinking twice about putting your hard-earned money into ...

"Greed, Corruption, and Dishonesty Lose Out"This is the third and final story of "The King Trilogy." I've read the first two, which are excellent, but this one is the BEST! I absolutely loved it! In this final installment, Kerri King has become a Wall Street legend. She's now the president and CEO of Iacardi and Sons, a commodities brokerage, with offices in the South Tower of the World Trade Center. She's supposed to be at work that Tuesday, but she's laid up with a nasty case of the flu. It's ...

"Kerri's War" delves into the murky depths of what seems like privilege, but quickly reveals itself to be rotten with selfish motives.

Read the full review in the 2013 Dec/Jan Holiday issue of InD’tale Magazine. Looking for compelling thriller book reviews? Stephen Douglass's "Kerri's War" might just be your next gripping read.

Stephen Douglass's "Kerri's War" (The King Trilogy) is as moving as it is utterly gripping. This is a top-tier read if you're looking for compelling war stories. The story kicks off with the 9/11 terror attack on the Twin Towers, where our protagonist, Kerri King, loses nearly all her employees. This opening sequence is incredibly powerful and really establishes Kerri's character. Determined to use every available resource to care for the families left behind by this tragedy, she faces a tough ...

Another page-turner from Stephen Douglass! *Kerri's War* is the final book in the Kingl trilogy, and I honestly don't understand why it has to end here. The potential for more stories is definitely there, and I'm sad to see it go. Out of all three books, I think this one might be my favorite. Each book works perfectly well as a standalone, even though they form a trilogy. I absolutely love the character, Kerri. Mr. Douglass has done an excellent job with both the plot and character development. ...

This book is incredibly moving and utterly gripping. Stephen Douglass masterfully captures the aftermath of the 9/11 terror attack on the Twin Towers, where Kerri King loses almost her entire workforce. It's a powerful and deeply touching read, written with exceptional skill. Highly enjoyed and wholeheartedly recommended. A must-read for fans of impactful historical fiction and 9/11 book reviews.
