I stayed away for a decade, thinking I was protecting her. I believed I'd mastered my wolf's instincts when it came to Bethany. But one glimpse of her on the dance floor, and my inner beast roared to life. I promised myself just one dance. One dance, and I'd walk away. I never meant to bite her. Or...

Just too...much? That's honestly the first thought that comes to mind after finishing Hettie Ivers's *Just Like Animals*. This isn't a bad thing, necessarily. It's just... a lot. The novel throws you headfirst into a world that's both familiar and disturbingly alien, and Ivers doesn't hold back on the gritty details. The characters are complex, flawed, and often unlikeable, which, in my opinion, makes them all the more compelling. You won't find any heroes or villains here, just people struggli...

Alright Hettie, I'm officially all caught up with the series and impatiently waiting for 'The Seer' to drop!If you've been keeping up with my reviews, you know I've been absolutely inhaling this series for the past few days. I seriously can't believe I let these books languish in my library for so long before finally reading them.Just Like Animals is yet another delectable addition to the Werelock series. The storyline is fun, gritty, and intense. I was a little hesitant going in because this is...

Intense, hilarious, scorching hot, and overflowing with emotion, there's absolutely nothing to dislike about Just Like Animals. This is one of those rare books that hits all the right notes. I fell head over heels for Bethany and Raul, and I also fell for one of Hettie Ivers' many superpowers – her uniquely sassy and witty sense of humor. Factor in superb writing, perfect pacing, brilliant skill, a nail-biting, meticulously crafted plot, and romance with just the right blend of sexual tension, e...

I'm really not into paranormal books at all. In fact, "Just Like Animals" was my very first one ever! Something in the blurb caught my attention, and after reading the 4- and 5-star reviews, I thought, "What the heck – let me try it!"First off, this is part of a series, but it definitely reads as a standalone, and thank goodness for that because I have absolutely no patience for series!Raul is a character who comes off as a self-centered, egotistical jerk at first, but deep down, he's a softie –...

I am so furious with Hettie Ivers right now, it's actually ridiculous. I've always loathed Raul, and she goes and gives him such an incredible mate like Bethany. A feisty, hilarious Bethany who doesn't put up with any nonsense. I can't think of anyone less deserving than Raul. THEN, she has the nerve to create scenes that are so intimate and adorable between them, I found myself grinning at how perfect they were as a couple. Seriously?! Who does that?! I was perfectly content with my feelings ab...

Just Like Animals is a fabulously fun paranormal romantic comedy that continues the cleverly layered storyline of the magical werewolf series, The Werelock Evolutions!Three words encapsulate my feelings for this 5-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ delight:SEXY. FUNNY. INGENIOUS.Let's be honest, ladies... you know those tantalizing passages from your absolute favourite romances that you highlight for revisiting in the future – over, and over, and over again? Well, knock me over the head with a unicorn vibrator if ...

Consider your underwear officially warned – Raul is coming for them in "Just Like Animals"! Hettie Ivers has unleashed another scorching chapter, overflowing with steamy scenes, gripping drama, and intriguing new characters, alongside the familiar faces we've grown to love. The sex scenes? Off the charts. Passionate, intense, and crucial to the story's progression. They never felt gratuitous, just perfectly suited for Raul, that wonderfully horny werelock (haha!). Bethy is a fascinating charac...

I can't embed the image here, but let's talk about Hettie Ivers' *Just Like Animals*. This book hit me hard. Like, *really* hard. I went in expecting one thing, and I came out feeling like I'd run a marathon through my own tear ducts. Ivers has a way of crafting characters that burrow under your skin. They're flawed, messy, and achingly human – or, well, *just like animals*, I suppose. You might not always *like* them, but you'll understand them, even when they're making the worst decisions. A...

ARC. 'Nuff said. While everyone else is saying ole' Raul is a total douchebag, I'm leaning back and claiming him. Something is seriously wrong with me. I'm sure at some point, I absolutely loathed Raul, and if I'm being honest, his name kinda sucks, and I keep catching myself calling him Ragu. Nonetheless, this creepy-stalker-psycho brother has moved up a couple of notches on my I’d-do-them book boyfriend list. The soundtrack to **Just Like Animals** is Selena Gomez’s “Can’t Keep My Hands to Mysel...
