Oh wow. Honestly, I didn't expect to enjoy Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) by Richelle Mead this much. If I had more time, I would have binged it in hours. But I truly had a good time with this book. When I wasn't reading Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2), I was thinking about it. That's how you know a book is GOOD 🤌🤌This was definitely better than the first book, in terms of character development, plot, relationship developments, and action. It still reads like a 2000s YA book, but I'm not gonn...

“You can't force love, I realized. It's there or it isn't. If it's not there, you've got to be able to admit it. If it is there, you've got to do whatever it takes to protect the ones you love.”
OMG!!! I love this book!! It was amazing!! This isn't the first time I've read this series, and I still love it! I love Dimitri! I love Adrian! I love Christian!
“Good God. Men everywhere.”

Something is happening to me.
Something bad.
I don’t know myself anymore.
The me I know would never enjoy a book with a love triangle AND a love square. Let alone giving three (well, two and a half) stars to said book, which also includes vampires, high school drama, and something that veers precariously close to girl hate.
But here we are.
I like the Vampire Academy books.
Book one was good. And guess what. So is this one (kind of?). Although definitely worse.
I, as I ashamedly admitted ...

Spoilers: This isn't really a review per se, but more of a rundown of what happens in this book. *Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2)* picked up right after book one. Rose and Dimitri were fighting their feelings for each other and trying to move on with other people, which I didn't like at all. Rose kinda started dating Mason, where they shared a few kisses. I really loved Mason. I didn't want him to get used as a stand-in, and that was pretty much what happens. Dimitri got ...

Okay, I'm officially hooked! I got way more into "Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2)" by Richelle Mead than I expected. This book jumps right in where the first one left off. Rose is still training with Dimitri, and the tension between them is seriously sizzling, but they can't act on it because they're both supposed to be Lissa's future guardians (you know, Lissa, the Moroi princess and Rose's BFF). Things get intense when the Moroi royal families start getting attacked. It sparks a major debate a...

Oh dear... I seem to be ever so slightly... *hooked*. How did this happen? I was proceeding with caution, I swear I was but... my god, this book was good. I liked it even better than the first one in this series, I honestly have nothing but praise for Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) by Richelle Mead. I shall of course have to accept my fate when they start to go downhill, but there's always a chance that by then my obsession will have run so deep that I won't even care in my lust to find out wha...

The first book in this series left me feeling pretty "meh." Its confusing, nonsensical premise was distracting, though I felt it somehow managed to distract from what was essentially a weak plot and simple story.
The same can't be said for *Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2)* by Richelle Mead. The lore of Vampire Academy hasn't changed, but the complexities and further insight, or perhaps just familiarity, have lessened the ache of it. It's also dealt with differently and in a more realistic way –...

Just finished reading it yesterday.
I don't know why, but it just made me cry. It's one of those books where you look back and see how much a character has grown, how much she has learned.
Her giving up Dimitri and saying she wants him to be happy was so touching, it just made me cry.
Rose in book 1 was really looking for trouble. She was a risk-taker, and she pretty much broke all the rules. In Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2), Rose was selfish, and she sort of used Mason. In the end, she deci...

Fast-paced, dynamic, and as always, entertaining.I feel like Frostbite suffers from the second-book-in-a-series syndrome that was common a decade ago, where these books were almost always a bit weaker, and their purpose was to advance the romance and plant the seeds for new plots in the rest of the saga. That's exactly what we have in this second installment of Vampire Academy, perhaps seasoned with some other not-too-important subplots.I'm very happy to have reread it; I remembered very, very l...
