I felt incredibly disconnected from this story. Even by the end of *For the Hell of It* by Cate Corvin, I still knew nothing about any of the main characters. They lacked any real depth. Honestly, I don't even have an opinion on any of them because there simply wasn't enough to connect with. The world-building for this fantasy romance review felt promising, but again, it wasn't explained well enough. The plot, with Melisande's fall from heaven, held an interesting premise, but without a tangible ...

I wanted something raunchy and I definitely got it with Cate Corvin's For the Hell of It! 😂 I didn't quite understand what I was asking for haha✅ FINALLY A REVERSE HAREM WITH a strong and badass female lead! Seriously, I feel like most RH MCs are so helpless and basically at the mercy of everyone around them. But Melisande was a total badass, and it was so refreshing to read this paranormal romance.❌ NOT A MEDIUM OR SLOW BURN... For the Hell of It was pretty much straight down to business with ...

Big HELL yes! 🌙
What a story. What an imagination Cate Corvin has! I got completely sucked into *For the Hell of It*.
Melisandre was the perfect blend of “don’t fuck with me,” and owning that attitude without being crass. ✨
I loved all the tension.
I loved all the different love interests, and how they were built up without being off-putting.
Trust me, in a reverse harem (RH) book, the sex part can be a bit much, but this felt more like they formed a bond than just jumping in bed with one ano...

DNF - quit at 35%I had hopes that Cate Corvin's 'For the Hell of It' would be a story I would enjoy, but I didn't. Others might find this fantasy book appealing, but it just didn't click for me. The premise of 'For the Hell of It' just didn’t work, and I kept thinking “what the heck!” to everything happening. The world-building really wasn’t there; I felt lost and confused about a lot of things that happened in the first 35%. I couldn’t get into the Female Main Character (FMC) either, because sh...

4.5.
This was the best reverse harem (RH) book I've read in a long time. Cate Corvin's *For the Hell of It* truly stands out.
I'd say it gets off to a slightly shaky start with the power dynamics between Milisandre and the Demons, but that soon dissipates, and it's great watching her grow into the fallen angel she's becoming.
While, as with all reverse harem novels, there's a strong romance aspect, I felt like the overarching plot was strong and engaging, and Milisandre has a clear character ...

Having just read the The Lili Kazana Series I was really worried this book would be too identical. But hot damn this book stands out all on its own and I absolutely loved it from start to finish. After being betrayed by her troupe leader and Archangel Gabriel, Melisande really took to being cast from heaven smoothly. In fact some of her first thoughts after falling are cursing since she's finally able to do so without pain ripping through her. Lust and wrath become part of her new self. As a tra...

3.5: Melisande is a fighter--an angel fallen from heaven (or, pushed as it were) into the depths of Hell--thrown into the Seventh Circle's brutal fighting rings under the Prince of Wrath, Belial. I was surprised that I liked this book, since I so DISLIKED the Cimmeron Cage books. However, the plot moved at a good clip and managed to balance the larger plot (Melisande's revenge on Gabriel) with her love stories. This book is described as an enemies to lovers slow-burn romance, but I would disagre...

I'm so bored....Ok, whining over.
This was a pretty good book. I liked it. I had never read any book by this author and I've already finished reading one of her serials as I type this review. I liked when angels go all dark, it makes me clap my hands like an evil villain.
Can't wait for book 2.

Oh hell. I need the next one. An fmc who doesn’t back down, just fallen from heaven and tossed in a gladiator like arena. Multiple POV, but just enough of each guy to tease.so many different characters, the guys and their backgrounds are really fleshed out. Lucifer, Azrael, Tas and Belial. Favourite character was Belial. Contains sex, violence and death. It’s gonna be interesting to see what happens next, can’t wait.
