My name is Tamsin Vale, and my life has been utterly transformed in just a few short months. I'm a college freshman, despite never finishing high school. I've inherited more money than I could ever spend after nineteen years of having next to nothing. And the biggest secret? I’m the last fairy, with...

I'm still completely engrossed in this series by Erin R. Flynn. After finishing Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2), I was so captivated that I immediately had to pick up the third book to continue this amazing fantasy romance journey. This book review highlights my current obsession!

Tamsin is diving deeper into the supernatural world, and with midterms fast approaching, she's absorbing every bit of knowledge she can. More people are starting to surround her, drawn in by her compelling personality, and she's finally finding people she can trust. Even hobogoblins and fae dogs (better known as hellhounds) are making their appearances in this exciting new chapter, *Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2)* by Erin R. Flynn. I'm so incredibly excited to see how Tamsin will mana...

There's still nothing happening in Erin R. Flynn's *Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2)*, and frankly, it's getting old! So now we're attending all the classes and tests with the FMC. This is like watching teenage drama but without the drama. At this point, I think I'd take anything as long as it moves the plot along. What's frustrating is that the series, including *Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2)* by Erin R. Flynn, has the ingredients and setting for some really good story. The...

I'll definitely continue with the next book in the series because the overall plot is interesting, but *Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2)* by Erin R. Flynn was... I have no words. This particular installment felt like pure filler, offering no real gain in the main plot or in the character relationships. And honestly, the writing is just atrocious. It's desperately in need of a good editing and about a thousand more commas. This isn't a stream of consciousness; it's just dialogues 🙄, mak...

There is a difference between being strong and being rude. Yes, it requires strength to stand up for oneself, and I applaud those who do. However, in Erin R. Flynn's Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2), the main character (MC) reaches a point where she simply chastises, humiliates, and threatens everybody she meets. This approach to character development felt off. There are better ways of conflict resolution. Personally, I think it is better to have the strength, wisdom, and patience to pi...

Books 1-4 ReviewI went back and forth on what to rate this fantasy series. This **book review** covers the first four installments of the *Artemis University* series by **Erin R. Flynn**, including **Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2)**. There were a lot of things I didn’t like, making me lean towards 3 ⭐️, but ultimately, I devoured all four books in two days and will be reading the next one as soon as it's out, which made me consider 4 ⭐️. However, after reading more than half of the se...

Not as good...
I enjoyed book one, but *Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2)* by Erin R. Flynn was a continuous, repetitive diatribe about the main character's anger and her constant thoughts of overstating things to expose others. The main character became overly sarcastic, childish, and angry for no good reason. There was no development in the romance or the characters, and I ultimately lost interest in this read.

Plot development needed, STATI'm giving *Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2)* by Erin R. Flynn only three stars because it seems like the author has forgotten the main point of this fantasy series — to discover what happened to the fairies and help them if needed. We've now had two books, and the only significant thing the protagonist has done is gain access to Faerie and give it some power. The 'fae dog thing' and the sanctuary just feel like filler to me. At this point, the series is mor...

It's decent.
I reread Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2) to continue with the series. I thought I might like it more the second time around, but no, I didn't enjoy it more. Sadly, I think this Erin R. Flynn book has potential, but for me personally, it fell a bit flat.

GoodI enjoyed Drowning Studies (Artemis University, #2) by Erin R. Flynn more than the first book, primarily because I felt a stronger connection to the main character this time around. She’s still an 'in-your-face' kind of woman, full of grit and determination, but her softer, more humane side is showcased a bit more often here. It's also clear she’s realizing she doesn’t have to win all her battles alone; she has allies now, and she really needs to utilize them. This **urban fantasy review** co...
