Back to tackling Diana Gabaldon's *Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, Book 2)* I go. I've got so many massive books on my TBR pile this year, lol. If you're looking f...

While I didn't love *Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, Book 2)* as much as *Outlander*, I still really enjoyed it, landing somewhere between a 3 and 3.5 star rating. After the initial jolt of the time jump, I settled into the story, loving the journey from France to Lallybroch, and back to where it all started. And, of course, I absolutely adored seeing Jamie and Claire's love story continue. Definitely a great read for fans of historical romance and time travel books!

I've never cried so hard in my life over fictional characters before. Diana Gabaldon's *Dragonfly in Amber* truly wrecked me. If you're looking for emotional book reviews, be warned – this one will hit you hard.

I'M FINISHED! WOW. Just wow. That ending. Woah. In the space of 40 pages, I ugly cried, my heart exploded with feelings, confusion reigned, hope flickered, and now I'm just mind-blown by the ending. WOW. Diana Gabaldon, you've done it again! It took me a little while to get into *Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, Book 2)*, but once I got past the 300-page mark, it became incredibly good and just kept getting better. 5/5 stars! If you're looking for amazing historical fiction book reviews, look no f...

*Heavy sigh.* [Theme spoilers, but no plot spoilers. Read at your own risk.] I don't even know where to start because properly reviewing Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, Book 2) would involve so much quoting and backing up, and I don't have the energy for that after 700+ pages. The short of it is that the romantic hero character perpetuates rape culture by using the words 'rape' and 'sex' synonymously, blaming sexual assault on what the woman is wearing, and claiming that once men get aroused th...

I have a real love/hate relationship with Diana Gabaldon. On one hand, she's one of the greatest writers I've ever encountered. I want to shake her hand for her meticulous detail and the unbelievable amount of research she must have done to put together her (currently) seven gigantic novels in this series. I love her characters and how the events are interwoven with actual historical happenings. She's simply a literary genius when it comes to historical fiction. But… seriously, I kept thinking, "...

*This review contains spoilers, so read at your own risk.*“Okay, so I set the date on 2012… and set it for Kansas City, Kansas… Kemper’s deck. I think all I have to do is reverse the directions on Google Maps on the laptop. Uh… turn the key. Yay, it works!”“Or so I thought. Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore (had to do it!).”“Hello Stephanie. Toto… I love The Wizard of Oz.”“Aaaaack! Claire Beachum Randall Fraser! You just scared the piss out of me. Don’t sneak up on a person sitting on ...

Diana Gabaldon's novels—sex-filled, meticulously researched, academically daring, where time travel/sci-fi collides with historical romance—are the ultimate guilty pleasure for lit nerds. From clan warfare to herbal remedies, genealogy, British history, and even WWII, these books are bursting with information (my basic knowledge of Gaelic started here). Bonus: the heroine enjoys *many* steamy encounters with a ruggedly handsome Highlander. You really can't go wrong.I discovered these books while...
