3.25 stars Okay, so, *Desire (The Fallen)* by Julie Mannino… where do I even begin? This wasn't a bad read, per se, but it wasn't exactly setting my world on fire either. It was just… there. Like that lukewarm cup of coffee you forgot about and then rediscovered hours later. Drinkable, but definitely not exciting. The premise had potential, I'll give it that. Fallen angels, forbidden love, all the good stuff. But the execution felt a little flat. The characters were kind of one-dimensional, an...

A novella that follows the love story between a demon and a pastor who has suffered abuse from the church his entire life. Sounds intriguing, right? Plot twist: the demon is the sweetest person he's ever known. Julie Mannino's *Desire (The Fallen)* flips the script in a way that's both heartwarming and a little bit wicked. If you're looking for a unique paranormal romance, this is a quick read that delivers. Definitely recommend for anyone searching for "demon romance novels" or something simi...

Spicy!

“Desire (The Fallen)” was a good, quick, and spicy read. The romance felt a little like insta-love/insta-lust to me, but that’s pretty common in shorter standalone books. Esai's complicated relationship with religion and his religion-based trauma is really relatable, though, and I think Julie Mannino handled it respectfully. If you're looking for a steamy romance novel, give "Desire (The Fallen)" a shot!

A solid story.

I don’t usually dive into M/M romances, but I really got into *Desire (The Fallen)* by Julie Mannino. It hits that sweet spot, balancing a compelling plot with just the right amount of steam. I especially liked how Mannino incorporated the idea of religion being twisted over time into the narrative. I’m definitely adding Julie Mannino to my list of authors to watch. If you're looking for good LGBTQ+ book recommendations, give this one a try!

The story was absolutely amazing and scorching hot, and the cover... it's no wonder Esai couldn't resist temptation. I highly recommend "Desire (The Fallen)" by Julie Mannino if you're looking for a steamy read. Definitely one of the best book reviews I've written this month!

Desire somehow managed to utterly butcher the concept of desire supposedly coming from Hell. It felt more like desire emanating *weakly* from Earth, and then Hell taking its cues from *that*, if you can even picture it.
I honestly feel like I've earned the right to call myself the Demonic Lord of Desire...and I am *not* impressed. If you're looking for a good paranormal romance or a captivating fantasy read, this isn't it.
