Monsters aren't born, they're made... Most called him the Jailor. Some, a monster. If he had a name, no one lived long enough to tell it. They say he sits on a skull mound, marking each death like notches on a bedpost. Some tales say he has wings as dark as night and a razor wire crown woven around...

Absolutely no sex. The beginning has some lovely, almost fairytale-like descriptions, which is really Ariana Nash's strength. I definitely prefer her historical fantasy work to her more contemporary stuff.

But it's not quite up there with her earlier dragon masterpiece. I'll keep reading though, and see where "Dante's End (The Jailor, #1)" goes. Looking for more fantasy book reviews? Check back soon!

"Havok's beauty was a savage song of masculinity and monster. The first time Dante had laid eyes on him, at this pool, he'd thought Havok beautiful, and that hadn't changed." She's done it again. Ariana Nash is the absolute queen of MM fantasy, friends to enemies to lovers, slow-burn romance, and Dante's End brings all of that to the table and then some. If you're looking for captivating LGBTQ+ book reviews, look no further!Fair warning: this is the first book in Ariana Nash's trilogy, so goi...

3.5 Stars ✨ Ariana Nash writes fantastic MM fantasy. I was really looking forward to this book and the monster universe she'd create within it. I won't lie, I was expecting something more dystopian, monster apocalypse-style, but it was a little less exciting than that (not that it wasn't good). It's a good fantasy book, just not amazing. Hopefully, the sequel to *Dante's End* will be better and explain what wasn't explained in this first installment. If you are looking for monster romance book r...

Ariana Nash certainly knows how to tear your heart out and leave it bleeding on the curb. Yikes. *Dante's End* definitely lives up to the author's reputation for brutality! I need book two like, yesterday. If you're looking for dark fantasy book reviews, this one's a must-read.

I'm honestly surprised by how little I enjoyed *Dante's End*. I've read many of Ariana Nash's other books and loved them, but this one just didn't click for me. I couldn't really connect with the main characters; their feelings about each other seemed to change constantly, and the pacing felt off, especially in the second half. I wish the story had committed to a few of the betrayals (there were so many!) instead of constantly changing its mind. It got a bit exhausting. The writing also wasn't gr...

I'm a little conflicted about what to think… I can't decide between 3 or 4 stars, so I might adjust my rating later. The first 40% of **Dante's End** were my favorite. I loved the banter, the power plays, the little tricks, the betrayal, and the push-and-pull. I especially loved the scenes in the spire and wish that part of the book had been longer. The first chapter about their history is absolutely adorable too.But then, at some point, it becomes *too* much betrayal. This is definitely an enem...

This story is dark, twisted, and perilous, featuring a misunderstood monster and his butterfly boy. Ariana Nash's beautifully lyrical prose ensnares the heart whilst transporting you into the mysterious and dangerous world she has created. A world where nothing is as it seems and the truth is harder to find than a needle in a haystack. “Havok was jealous. Dante had said he’d come back, he’d promised. Havok had waited by that pond for so long. And when he had returned, he’d brought another, ...

I was provided an e-copy of Dante's End by the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. ✅ Characters✅ Mix of hate and sexual tension ✅ Pace✅ Cruel and cold monsters ✅ Plot✅ World-building✅ Captor/Captive dynamic❗️❗️Trigger warnings: self-harm, gore, death, sexual threats Sometimes friends did become enemies, and they were the most dangerous enemies of all. Dante’s village, Lenola, has been under the rule of the Jailor for decades now. Each cycle, ...
