I'd probably rate this book 4 stars on its own, but I'm giving "Curse of the Dark Prince" 5 stars for the entire series and overall reading experience. It just hit me at the right time, in the right mood, and I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. It's been a joy having these books keep me company this past week, even though they sometimes broke my heart a little. As far as dark fantasy book reviews go, this one is definitely worth reading. That being said, this series isn't the easiest to ...

**SPOILERS** There was never a good moment to put down "Curse of the Dark Prince" by Ariana Nash; something detrimental was always happening! I swear, the world was either burning, or they were talking about how to prevent the world from burning š. I loved it all the same, though; this trilogy has been a complete five-star experience for me, and Iām going to miss them so much! There were more perspectives in this book than in the rest, including Vasiliās point of view, which was very interestin...

Read this final installment of the trilogy if you love Vasili and Nikoāthe characters, not for the resolution of the fantasy plot. To be fair, for the most part, a good balance of action and smut kept me goingāaided by a triple POV of Niko, Vasili, and Yasir, and generally good writing. Sadly, the big (predictable) showdown at the end had me confused and focused too much on incongruous developments. Charactersā actions and the whole flame magic sometimes just didnāt make sense to me. It also fel...

"I no longer need to go to sea to be free," Vasili said. He reached out and pinched the daisy stem between his fingers, taking it from Niko to tuck behind his ear. "You brought freedom to me." His fingers slipped between Niko's, capturing his hand, and drew him close.ā§ You can hate or love Vasili, but you can't deny this man's complexity was so... intriguing. Vasili is a perfect example of my favorite type of character: complex. flawed. cunning. broken. And yet, as the story goes on, we see bits...

āwho wants a good man when they can have a vicious prince?ā
š¤Iām such an EMO wreck because of this series⦠Niko and Vasili absolutely destroyed me, and I loved every single moment. First off, I absolutely loved that Vasili had his own POV in this book, since books 1 and 2 were solely from Nikoās perspective. This book also gave us Yasir's POV occasionally. Gotta loooove multiple POVs! šThis series was so damn tragic at times; I lost count of how many times I wanted to scream and punch some...

Way too much action. Seriously lacking in the f*cking department. Where's the spice, Ariana Nash? I came for the dark prince, not a historical battle recreation! "Curse of the Dark Prince" had me hoping for more heat, less⦠war games. Disappointed is an understatement. This book review is fueled by unmet expectations, and a serious need for some fictional catharsis that never arrived. More passion, less posturing next time, please!

Is there any chance of a spin-off series focusing on Lasher, the elf? I'm not sure I'd ever truly love an elf from this world, but he did have "some" redeemable moments, so maybe? That being said, I actually want more of Niko and Vasili's journey. I feel like this wasn't enough. I know there's a 3.5 book as well, which I'm going to read next, but I don't think that will be enough. I think that Vasili is such a complex character that his story could go on forever.

4 'Adamo is the best fictional horse ever' starsThe fantasy elements in *Curse of the Dark Prince* are fantastic. Seriously, this book could easily be regarded as epic fantasy. I loved the expanded magic system; we learned more about the flame and its purpose. Also, the fights (with magic or without) are written very well. The story picks up right where it ended in the previous book, and the fast pace makes you hold your breath in anticipation the entire time. I can't remember the last time I was...
