The only reason Sarah J. Maas's *Crown of Midnight* isn't getting a higher rating from me is because the first half was a bit of a slow burn, and I wasn't totally hooked. But the second half? OH. MY. GOD. It more than made up for it. Someone send help, please? Seriously, *Crown of Midnight* is an emotional rollercoaster. This is a top-tier book review, right here.

Wow! This was an exceptional sequel. I loved it so much! I feel like the series has more of a direction now, which is super exciting.
