This is a very entertaining and quirky book. I never expected to encounter such a classic character, especially in a villainous role.
As for the plot of J.B. Trepagnier's *Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1)*, if the characters had taken things seriously and weren't so preoccupied with sex, I honestly don't think they would have made any headway. They did everything *but* formulate a plan to find information or identify more suspects. There was an abundance of calm and, shall we say, rather l...

In J.B. Trepagnier's Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1), Riley works as the sole librarian in the world's paranormal library headquarters. When she accidentally helps someone resurrect an old god, she's pretty cranky about being lied to. Especially once he declares she'll be his wife, and nothing she does changes his mind. Riley is a great main character to follow. She's a little snarky (but not in a completely immature or ridiculous way), and she's very serious about protecting her library.T...

So Hoping!Okay, first, I did enjoy the storyline of Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1) by J.B. Trepagnier, and I think this fantasy series has potential to be a great read. However, we definitely need more character development and a more in-depth look into the background stories for our heroes. I'm also really hoping this isn't some 'insta-love' kind of thing with these heroes, because honestly, that's just straight-up boring.Second, please, oh please J. B., can you ease up on the repetitive...

DNF 75%Put this one down quite a while ago and really don't see myself going back to pick it up. This book review is for Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1) by J.B. Trepagnier. Also, looking back at a few of my notes and highlights make me think I made a good choice....
She wasn’t falling at my feet like literally every other woman on this planet I’d bedded before.I was starting to think Ripley was different. And I’d never met a witch like Ripley before in my entire life.

I absolutely adored this book. It truly stood out from other fantasy books I've read, making it a refreshing book review experience. I love how the library in J.B. Trepagnier's Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1) has its own unique system and life to it, and Ripley the librarian is just amazing. This debut novel, Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1), is an absolute hoot, and I just can't wait to read more from this exciting new series!

I really enjoyed the world created in *Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1)*, especially the intriguing concept of a sentient library. As a fantasy mystery novel, I also appreciated how the mystery slowly unraveled as more and more key pieces were introduced. While J.B. Trepagnier's characters and their interactions were average, I felt there was potential that didn't quite come alive.

This synopsis for *Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1)* made me think it was going to be a strong novel, but as this **fantasy book review** will detail, it was weaker than author J.B. Trepagnier’s others. Library + mythology = absolutely my type of book. It started off pretty great, and the resurrection of the chaos god was cool. I adored Felix (the cat), Ripley’s familiar. The story frames Ripley as a kind of badass librarian who, if you mess with her library, she’ll kick your ass—but she do...

DNF at 15%. I don't even know why I bother anymore. I'm a bit miffed, because the premise for J.B. Trepagnier's *Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1)* could have been so good. But I just couldn't bear the choppy writing and pacing.

I'm going to give Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1) by J.B. Trepagnier a 2.5.It wasn't all bad, it started off great, but in the middle it muddled through, then in the end it completely tanked. We have Ripley, the librarian. She has her rules for the library, and if you don't follow them, she'll kick your ass. But she really doesn't. She's more talk than action. The repetitive wolf dick jokes and the paragraphs about how Professor Krauss is a legend were exhausting! They start off being funny...

Not goodDNF @56%. I can't quite put my finger on one specific thing, but the entire read of J.B. Trepagnier's *Chaos (The Library of the Profane #1)* just turned me off. I got really bored, really fast. For some reason, the author seemed to repeat events we'd already read. I've read it, I know it happened, I don't need the characters to keep bringing up the same chain of events over and over again! I also didn't like the Reverse Harem aspect; it felt weird, like we were just collecting strange m...
