I won this book as part of a giveaway. While I don’t usually read vampire fiction, I was open to the opportunity to "meet" some new characters. And I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed watching Amy and Katie discover a world of creatures disguised as humans, who were actually vampires. It's a proper thriller, and I definitely didn’t see all the twists coming. However, I did find myself losing a bit of interest about three-quarters of the way through, probably because the part I enjoy...

Eric J. Gates's *Bloodline (The Cull Series, Book 1)* kicks off 'The Cull' series with an absolute bang! Honestly, the word "vampire" almost made me pass, it's usually not my thing. But this book totally blew me away. We start with Amy getting the boot from the FBI, and right away we're introduced to her new partner, Katie. I instantly loved Katie – her British accent and killer computer skills are just *chef's kiss*. The first few chapters grabbed me, and the story just keeps escalating from th...

Wow, this hunter-becomes-the-hunted thriller absolutely screams movie material. Two female FBI agents inject a totally fresh perspective into a vampire story that also ropes in the Vatican, government corruption, a serial killer, and just a touch of the paranormal. The action kicks off with what appears to be a miracle cure, then accelerates into a non-stop read packed with twists, turns, and surprises. Eric J. Gates' *Bloodline (The Cull Series, Book 1)* is incredibly original, a fiendishly cle...

HuntedBloodline (The Cull Series, Book 1) is my first audiobook experience, and the genre and scope of the story absolutely nailed it for me. It's a mystery thriller involving a serial killer, with a touch of paranormal horror.Amy Bree has an incredibly sharp, analytical mind for spotting patterns and connections. Along with her tech-wiz colleague Ralph, she works for the FBI, studying crimes and criminal behavior. Ralph introduces her to the files of a particularly gruesome serial killer, nickn...

Thrillers aren't usually my thing. I enjoy a fast-paced movie with a good plot and solid characters now and then, but when it comes to reading, I usually go for sci-fi, fantasy, or horror. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up Bloodline (The Cull Series, Book 1) and started reading... and just kept reading. I honestly thought I'd have to force myself through it since it wasn't my usual genre, but that wasn't the case at all. I have nothing but praise for this book. Eric J. Gates' ta...

I absolutely couldn't put it down!"Bloodline (The Cull Series, Book 1)" kicks off by introducing us to Amy, one of the main characters. We learn who she is, and how and why she became a federal agent. I really dig Eric J. Gates' writing style. He explains everything so well without being overly verbose. It allowed him to pack a ton of information and detail into this vampire thriller. Eric even made the computer jargon understandable, and I know absolutely nothing about computers – imagine that!...

Eric J. Gates' "Bloodline (The Cull Series, Book 1)" offers a fresh take on the vampire genre. Forget the sparkling vampires of "Twilight" or the overdone tales of Vlad; here, we get vampires reimagined as serial killers. Banish any tired clichés of fangs and crucifixes from your mind. Gates' vampires are products of genetic mutation, making them all the more terrifying. There's no airy-fairy mysticism here, just blood, knives, bullets, and the thrill of the hunt. But the question is: who is hun...

Amy Bree and Ralph Graham work for the FBI, but not as Special Agents, as they aspire to be. They work behind the scenes, helping the FBI create computer programs and systems to solve crimes and look for patterns. During one assignment, Ralph assists the Behavioral Analysis Unit Team and stumbles upon files from a particularly gruesome serial killer case, nicknamed the "Blood Sucker" by the press, which has stumped the Unit. Amy and Ralph decide to use their expertise to examine the files, hopin...

I must admit, when I first picked up "Bloodline (The Cull Series, Book 1)" by Eric J. Gates, I didn’t know what to expect. The cover looked intriguing, so I decided to give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised, enjoying every single word. The suspense and mystery woven into the narrative completely captivated me throughout the novel. Think James Patterson meets Dan Brown, but with a totally unique spin. Gates’ writing style masterfully dictates the mood. At times, he uses short, choppy sentences...

Wow, I feel like I've been dragged through hell and back with this story! *Bloodline* really grabs you and keeps you hooked from beginning to end. I found this first book in Eric J. Gates's series so captivating that I'm definitely reading all four. If you're looking for something different, this little four-book series has totally hooked me. Five stars, and now I'm off to read *Bloodstone*!
