A fitting end to this High-Fantasy erotic series, complete with a happily ever after for all the characters we’ve come to love.
"Yes," I thought, “Do it harder. Whip me soundly for what I have done. Let the blaze of pain grow brighter, hotter.” But it was not coherent, what I thought. It was like a song in my head, made up of rhythms – The strap, my cries, the creak of the wood… I actually enjoyed *Beauty's Release* by A.N. Roquelaure much more than the other two books which preceded it. I wa...

Review of the first book.Review of the second book.WARNING: Seriously disturbing stuff ahead. And this is where we hit absolute rock bottom.I'm talking mass, non-consensual, *permanent* genital mutilation.Look, I know some folks are into that, but I'd argue it's one kink we really don't need to be pandering to. Otherwise, we might as well have Gilles de Rais erotica.Or was this even *supposed* to be a kink?At this point, I started wondering if the *Beauty* series, by A.N. Roquelaure, was supposed...

I'm finally done with this series!!This was hands down one of the most agonizing reading experiences I've ever endured. As if being snatched from the castle and sold at a slave auction in the "village" wasn't enough, why not throw in a kidnapping by a Sultan? Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Oh, and every other second, someone was head-over-heels for someone else. Seriously? It was simply the most ludicrous thing I've ever read. Zero character development, and honestly, barely a plot to speak of. ...

The first book was shocking. The second installment was even more shocking. Then came the final book… I think I just got used to all these naked people walking around and having sex ALL THE TIME (they seriously need to find a new hobby… like painting) that it actually got pretty boring. I ended up skipping pages and pages of BDSM just to try and figure out where the story was even going. It was twisted, weird, and… well, gay. I just don’t get why A.N. Roquelaure had to switch up the point of vie...

It's a relief to finally finish this trilogy. As imaginative as they are, you really do have to prepare yourself when diving into these books. Since erotica is far more central than the plot in this trilogy, I’ll share a bit about this final installment. The Queen dispatches a rescue team to retrieve Beauty and her fellow slaves Tristan and Laurent, but not before Laurent secretly shows the Sultan's steward Lexius what it’s like to be a slave... which, of course, Lexius thoroughly enjoys and ulti...

I'm not writing separate reviews for all three books... or maybe I'll just copy and paste this review for each. As my title says, that's pretty much it. These are ADULT Fairy Tale FANTASY books. Please, for the love of all that is holy, do not read these books and try to apply them to real life. I need to make that crystal clear. I LOVE these books and think about them often. They are mind-blowingly wonderful but purely fantasy. I chuckle when people review saying "that could never happen" or so...

Disclaimer: I read the first book on a dare, and the second out of curiosity. You can check out my status updates and reviews here and here if you're interested. I have no plausible excuse for reading this last book. I just had to. After everything I endured in the previous books, I deserved to know Beauty's ultimate fate. Sure, I could've skipped ahead to the last pages, but I went through the whole enchilada – hence, no plausible excuse, LOL. Again, I'm not rating this read for the same reason...

I guess, in their own way, these three books really are like a fairy tale. Completely unreal. Amidst all the everyday fetishistic debauchery, torture, gang rape, buggerization, and constant whippings—it's the lifestyle—there is something missing. Blood. Snot. Fecal matter. A break for menstrual cycles. It is all so very clean. I mean, even going back to the very first book, where Beauty is rudely awakened by the priapic Prince—let's face it, she's been asleep for 100 years, surely she should be ...

I read the first book in this trilogy about four years ago, which says something about how well this series held my attention. Truth be told, I only bothered to pick this up because my mother-in-law (who is an otherwise fabulous person of mostly sound judgement) is devouring those goddamn "50 Shades" books and asked if I had "anything like that" she could borrow. I assumed "like that" meant "erotica in three parts" rather than "steaming pile of badly written horse manure," so I figured I ought t...

A.N. Roquelaure's *Beauty's Release* trilogy is hands down the most pornographic book I've ever picked up. It’s so raunchy it blasts right through its book form and evolves into a full-blown porn movie. Seriously, every flavor of adult content is represented: straight, bi, lesbian, gay, threesomes, foursomes, orgies, S&M... you name it. This book features so much leather and so many phallic-shaped fruits that it becomes unintentionally hilarious, which accounts for the two stars. And don't even ...
