So, I bought the whole series, and after hating the first book, I figured I’d give the second one a shot since I already spent the money. NOPE NOPE NOPE. Screw the money, I'm not reading the third book. The worst part? Somehow, Beauty and the other characters have absolutely NO PERSONALITY. They’re just empty shells, dolls for other people to use and enjoy. Which is frankly sickening. I mean, how are you supposed to like a book if the main character doesn’t even have a personality? They're liter...

I honestly don't know why I even bothered picking up book two. I was being an idiot, plain and simple. This is less a book review and more of a warning about "Beauty's Punishment" by A.N. Roquelaure. Save yourself the trouble.

High Fantasy, Graphically Sexual, and Exquisitely Detailed… In this day and age, it feels like there are few truly taboo books left that can still embarrass a reader who unapologetically devours the pages, oblivious to the outside world… But A.N. Roquelaure's Classic Erotic Trilogy of Beauty comes as close as possible to that point…Many readers detest these books... I enjoy them! "It was over. The cracks still rang in her ears. She could still feel the paddle as if in a dream. And her sex was li...

I can't even give this book a rating; it truly doesn't deserve even one star. Let's go over what "Beauty's Punishment" by A.N. Roquelaure has to offer: * Prostitution (Offering your slaves' bodies for money *is* prostitution, and pimping). * A strange form of pseudo-bestiality (They don't have sex with actual animals, but Anne has them dress up as such, which is just… weird). * Sword handles (yes, really). * More rape. Alright, Anne, now you're really starting to piss me off. Is this m...

It's probably best to kick off this review of *Beauty's Punishment*, the second book in the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by A.N. Roquelaure, with a section from my review of the first book: "In order to read the Sleeping Beauty series, you MUST set aside ALL of your preconceived notions about sex, sexuality, consensual sex-- all of it should have no bearing on this story. This isn't 'your' story; it's the fictitious account of Sleeping Beauty and the Prince who awakened her (at least in the beginnin...

Stockholm syndrome on steroids and BDSM on crack. That pretty much nails *Beauty's Punishment*. It's still utterly fascinating to see why the princes and princesses accept, and even start to enjoy, their daily dose of punishment. I've been around the BDSM scene for a while, but I can't imagine anyone actually putting up with years of constant degradation and humiliation, every single second of every single day. In a weird way, this really *is* a fairy tale – for perverts, sure, but a fairy tale ...

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A BOOK FOR UNDERAGE READERS OR THOSE WITH DELICATE SENSIBILITIES WHEN IT COMES TO ROMANCE!!!IF YOU AREN'T 18+ OR HAVE STRICT VIEWS ON EROTIC RELATIONSHIPS, DO NOT READ *Beauty's Punishment* BY A.N. ROQUELAURE!!Surprisingly, this isn't just Beauty's tale; it's the story of Beauty AND Tristan. While I personally wouldn't participate in many of these activities, the psychology of needing to be challenged through subjugation, and the raw acceptance of arousal and "punishment,"...

I enjoyed this one far more than the first book, or perhaps I should say I liked Beauty much more in this installment. Here, we witness her displaying some genuine spirit, occasionally rebelling to provoke even harsher punishments. I found this side of her much more relatable. She consciously chooses not to be perpetually obedient, perhaps understanding that by pushing back, she'll ultimately achieve a deeper level of submission than if she passively obeyed every command. This dynamic fascinated...

IF YOU LOVE ANIMALS, DO NOT READ Beauty's Punishment. I don't care how turned on you are, seriously, if you have any affection for animals, stay far, far away from this book. Trust me on this one. This book was just…bizarre. And not in a fun, quirky way. A.N. Roquelaure, whoever they are (and let's be honest, it's Anne Rice), has a seriously messed-up mind. It's a deeply unsettling place to be. I wasn't reading Beauty's Punishment for the eroticism. I find that stuff gets old fast. I picked it up...

Disclaimer: I read the first book on a dare, and even though I didn't particularly enjoy the experience – you can read my status updates and my review here if you're curious – I got sucked into reading the next book. Again, I'm not rating this because I don't think it would be fair to "hurt" the book's average rating considering I knew I wasn't going to like it (I'm not a fan of pure erotica, and I'm no expert in BDSM).Just to get started, here's the plot summary given at the beginning of the th...
