Okay, you guys were totally right about "Atmosphere" by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I was a bit unsure at the start because I wasn't really clicking with the story, but once I got to know the main character (and the supporting characters) better, I seriously couldn't put it down. I loved the exploration of romance and the main character's relationship with her niece so much, BUT the foreshadowing Taylor Jenkins Reid wove in absolutely destroyed me. I didn't want it to end! Such an incredible, incredibl...

“I was circling two hundred miles above the earth, and all I wanted was to get home and see you. Do you understand that I don't care how big or small this world is, that you are the center of mine? Do you understand that, to someone, you are everything that matters on this entire planet?”
This is undeniably a love story. It’s a love story between a woman and the stars she admires. It’s a love story regarding a friend that becomes something more. And it’s a love story about the special care an...

Well, shit. I think Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid might be the most underwhelming astronaut book I've ever picked up. For space exploration book reviews, this one's a letdown. You have to understand, I'm a total space geek. I've devoured countless books about NASA, space exploration, astronauts, the shuttle program – you name it, I've probably read it. If I were to rank my favorite topics, space would dominate the top spots. So, when I heard one of my favorite authors, Taylor Jenkins Reid, wa...

Someone perfectly captured the essence of Atmosphere by saying Taylor Jenkins Reid breaks your heart while simultaneously giving you a forehead kiss. I couldn't agree more. I was completely hooked, and even when I had to put it down, I couldn't stop thinking about it. The characters meant everything to me, and I already miss them SO. MUCH. If you're looking for emotional book reviews, read Atmosphere.

One of my most anticipated reads of the year turned out to be underwhelming ☹️I preordered this book months ago, but it wasn't until my preorder showed up that I saw the book had a subtitle: "A Love Story." Romance isn't really my genre, but I reread the blurb and figured that maybe it was meant symbolically-- like a love for the universe, or for Earth. Something like that. That's what this sounds like to me:
As the new astronauts prepare for their first flights, Joan finds a passion and a lov...

\"A Cosmic Symphony of Grit, Grief, and Glory\"―Siri, play “Fly Me to the Moon” by Frank Sinatra☄️Some stories don’t explode onto the scene; they drift in like stardust — quiet, steady, unforgettable. Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of those. Set against the backdrop of NASA and the unreachable stars, this novel isn’t just about space — it’s about the women who dared to dream beyond the limits they were given. It’s about love that doesn’t look the way we expect, about sacrifice that no ...

OMG, Taylor Jenkins Reid is an absolute treasure! 🥹🤍🚀📖This wasn't quite what I expected *at all*, but of course, I'm in awe. The last 20 pages had me so teary-eyed!!!! Her strong female main characters remain completely unmatched.Honestly, I think my rating is maybe more of a 4.5 versus a full 5 simply because, in my opinion, this doesn't come close to *Daisy Jones & The Six* or *Carrie Soto Is Back*, which are two of my favorite Taylor Jenkins Reid books. That said, it’s still a great novel...

Thank you BookUp for the advanced copy of this book; it's already one of my favorite reads of 2025. To say I couldn't put it down is an understatement. Taylor Jenkins Reid continues to amaze me more and more with each book she releases. It also made me realize how much I love books about astronauts and space. I've read very few, but of those few, I've loved them ALL. I need more! The only thing I would have liked more from the book Atmosphere would be an epilogue. I'd give anything for an epilogue...

"by taylor jenkins reid" is all I need to know. It's not only why I read this book—it's also why I finished it.https://emmareadstoomuch.substack.com...I think space is scary and gross, and science was my least favorite subject in school, so this synopsis never jumped out to me. Even when I was reading *Atmosphere*, I never particularly wanted to get back to it. But I did enjoy it when I did.By the end, I cared about the relationships here—Joan and Vanessa, Joan and Frances—even when I didn't care...

It’s nearly impossible to resist devouring anything Taylor Jenkins Reid writes—she has a magic touch for crafting unforgettable, empowering heroines. Whether they’re rock stars, tennis champions, or reclusive movie legends, her women are always unforgettable. In her latest novel, we’re lucky enough to get two inspiring leads: Joan, a warm-hearted, nerdy astronomy professor, and Vanessa, a bold, free-spirited aeronautical mechanic-turned-pilot. These two trailblazers become the first women select...
