As much as the daunting page count of these books threatens to overwhelm me at the start, I savor every page, every sentence, and every word afterward!Rarely do I find a story that draws me in so deeply, where I suffer just as much as I feel safe and secure.*An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, Book 7)* simply is and remains one of the best book series of all time for me, and I'm glad that I still have two more thick tomes waiting for me on the shelf, because I can never get enough of Claire and Jami...

"But even things that heal leave scars."
I have to confess, I was losing faith in this series after the fifth and sixth books, but what a pleasant surprise *An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, Book 7)* turned out to be!
Gone are the excessively mundane narrations of life at Fraser’s Ridge, thank goodness! In this seventh book, we find Jamie and Claire’s lives after losing their home in the fire, with all sides of the American Revolution more active than ever. Now, in addition to their perspectives...

Bloody hell, I'm freaking tired! So, here's the deal. Most of my friends here on Goodreads know that I've been listening to these CDs from the library. Well, I just happened to check the status of their return because I thought I had another month to renew them. Noooooooooooooooooo, someone placed a hold on the *An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, Book 7)* audiobook and it's due soon! Luckily, I started listening a few days ago, but now I'm freaking exhausted because I've had to listen almost non-sto...

"God, your arse looks fine, wi’ the wet linen of your shift clinging to it, it goes all transparent, and I can see the weight of your buttocks, like great smooth round melons ..."
I sort of wondered when I started reading An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, Book 7) by Diana Gabaldon if I was going into Outlander overload and that I might tire of it seeing as I have read 6 of the books in the space of 2 months or so.No, An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, Book 7) was wonderful, for the most part. I mu...

First Sentence: The pirate's head had disappeared. In this 7th book of the Outlander series, Jamie, Claire, and Ian are leaving the Ridge, headed for Scotland to take Ian back to his family and bring Jamie's printing press back to the Colonies. Roger and Brianna have returned to the present and settled at Lallybroch, but they haven't completely left the past behind. William is anxious to prove himself in battle, and Lord John is dealing with his family, both in England and Pennsylvania.I was both...

This reread hasn't changed my mind about my original review one bit.
Diana Gabaldon seriously needs to wrap up this series. Honestly, she should have done it in **An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, Book 7)**.
If she's so obsessed with Lord John, she can keep writing those books about him. Personally, he bores me, and I skipped those parts. I'm also not that invested in William, even if he IS Jamie's son.
How many times can Claire and Jamie encounter pirates and commandeer a ship? She already did...

Okay, so I adore Diana Gabaldon. I just wish she'd churn out these Outlander books a bit faster than one every four years, but hey, what can you do? Naturally, I've been waiting with bated breath for An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, Book 7).Writing: She still pulls you right into the characters' lives. They feel so real, so full of love, so flawed, and yet always striving to be better.Characters: This book juggles four main storylines (yes, four!). We've got Jamie and Claire, of course, but we al...

TOP TEN REASONS WHY the OUTLANDER SERIES IS BETTER THAN the TWILIGHT SERIES
10. The heroine isn't complimented on how delicious her blood smells. Instead, she's told her ass looks like two ripe melons. Just what every woman wants to hear.
9. When the hero has to rescue the heroine, he doesn't merely have to run at lightning speed across the parking lot. He actually has to travel halfway across the world, kill a few dozen villains, and blow up a few buildings. Talk about commitment!
8. But tha...

These five stars are purely from my Outlander fangirl heart because honestly, I can't judge these books objectively anymore. If *An Echo in the Bone* hadn't been good, I'd probably *still* have given it five stars. Luckily, it *was* good! I really enjoyed it.Okay, the first couple hundred pages are a bit of a slog, I'll admit. We spend a lot of time with Lord John and William, who's nineteen now, and there's some crossover from the Lord John spin-off series. I can see how that might confuse read...

Diana Gabaldon is still a PHENOMENAL writer; her talent has never been in question. But I do question her sanity after reading the last word of this hefty 814-page hardcover of *An Echo in the Bone*. These are just my random thoughts and somewhat-friendly reminders to myself for future reference, in case I need to refresh my poor memory. This is one hell of a busy book, jammed with innumerable constantly-shifting plots and POVs, but the resulting end wasn’t as thrilling a ride as the previous on...
