In this historical fiction novel, a collaborative effort by three authors, we encounter three women across different eras, all linked by war and an amulet in France. In 1914, Aurelie finds herself confined to her family's estate as the Germans commandeer it for their headquarters, hunting for a precious heirloom that weaves through all three timelines. Fast forward to 1942, and we meet Daisy, a courageous Resistance courier. Then, in 1962, Barbara embarks on a quest to uncover the truth about he...

I devoured the audiobook of "All the Ways We Said Goodbye" by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White. What a treat! Each of these authors is incredibly talented on their own, but together they've created a truly masterful historical fiction novel with "All the Ways We Said Goodbye". The audiobook experience was elevated by the brilliant narration of Helen Sadler, Nicola Barber, and Saskia Maarleveld. The story weaves between three distinct time periods, focusing on three brave, strong,...

I stopped, noticing an unusual postage stamp on one of the envelopes. It was a red US airmail eight-cent stamp showing a picture of aviatrix Amelia Earhart. My name and address had been scribbled in barely comprehensible letters on the front in bold, black ink. Definitely not a graduate of a British boarding school then, so perhaps not a school friend of Kit's offering condolences.
I looked at the top left corner to read the return address. A. Bowdoin, Esq., Willig, Williams & White, 5 Wall St...

A magnificent hotel, an intricately woven plot, three strong women characters written by three eloquent authors. SUMMARY France, 1914. Aurelie is at her family’s ancestral home when the Germans move in and begin using it as their headquarters. Aurelie discovers she knows one of the German officers, Maximilian Von Sternburg. Three powerful women. Three different eras. One hotel connecting their stories. This is the premise of *All the Ways We Said Goodbye*, the latest historical fiction novel from the renowned ‘Team W’ – authors Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White. I'm familiar with each of these three authors' individual works, but this is my first time reading one of their collaborative efforts (though I have their previous two collaborations on my bookshelf, waiting for me). After enjoying this one s...

**All the Ways We Said Goodbye** was absolutely fantastic! And it wasn't written by just one author, but *three* incredibly talented ones. The story unfolds through the eyes of three different women, each in a different era, with the iconic Ritz Hotel in Paris serving as the central backdrop for their individual narratives. This story is so beautifully written; it grabbed me from the very first page. A gorgeous narrative intricately woven through the timelines of World War I in 1914, World War II...

Three women, three different eras, three distinct predicaments, yet they all discover solace within the walls of the Ritz in Paris.
First, we encounter Aurelie in 1914, residing at the Ritz with her mother. Desperate for an escape, she finds the perfect pretext. After driving her fiancé to the front lines, her car is ambushed on the return journey. Fortunately, she's near her father's estate and makes her way there, only to find herself trapped as the Nazis seize control of the property.

3.5 starsI've been wanting to check out a book by this trio of authors for a while now because I have enjoyed some of the solo efforts of writers Beatriz Williams and Karen White. I'm not sure how they broke down the writing duties for this one but I was really impressed how it felt like a cohesive story and not three different styles of writing. This might not make my list of top historical fiction reads but it certainly was a good story, and I definitely recommend giving this one a look if you...

I'd primarily describe "All the Ways We Said Goodbye" by Beatriz Williams as a mystery of family lineage, offering the thrill of untangling character relationships across three different time periods. Secondly, it's a romance. Each of the main characters has their own romantic relationship that is flourishing.
**Summary:**
In 1914, heiress Aurelie seeks to restructure her future as war breaks out. In 1942, Daisy joins the resistance, even though her husband works for the Nazis. In 1964, shortly...
