Lady Grace de Courtenay has been a widow for a couple of years now. She married her second cousin, so her name stayed the same, only her title changed. She lives with her brother, who inherited her late husband's title. Her younger sister, Miranda, also lives with them. Grace has resigned herself to remaining a widow, content with her life as it is.Lord Nicolas Lacey is also a widower, and since his wife's passing, he's withdrawn from society. When his brother-in-law convinces him to attend a ma...

Lord Nicholas Lacey has been a widower for two years and has sent his daughter to live with his brother. Grace is also a widow, living with her brother, her husband having passed away quickly. They both dearly loved their first spouses and haven't found anyone else to spark their interest. Grace's brother shares the same name as her late husband and has inherited his title, which can be a little confusing if you don't know them. Nicholas and Grace meet one evening and are instantly drawn to each...

I received an advance copy of *A Kiss for Charity* via BookSprout, and this is my honest review. Usually, I'm the type to overanalyze a book as I read, but this time I simply let myself enjoy Sherry Ewing's *A Kiss for Charity*—and enjoy it, I did! There are a few missing words here and there, but nothing that truly distracts from the overall reading experience. The sheer fun of watching someone relentlessly pursue another, trying to get them to see the truth behind a simple misunderstanding, is...

Having lost the love of his life, Lord Nicholas Lacey vows never to marry again. A mistress, however, isn't entirely off the table—that is, until a masquerade ball begins to chip away at the fortress around his heart.
Married young, Grace, Lady de Courtenay, had no intention of remarrying. But a sisterly wager and a fateful masquerade ball lead her to realize that perhaps she desires something more.
As always, Sherry Ewing has crafted another beautiful story with *A Kiss for Charity*. If you'r...

A Kiss for Charity: a truly heartwarming story about Lord Nicholas, a widower with a lovely daughter. Feeling the weight of his loss and believing his daughter would thrive with family, he sends her to live with his brother and sister-in-law. Two years later, his brother playfully orders him to return and bring his daughter home. Before doing so, Nicholas reluctantly agrees to attend a masquerade ball. Bored and about to leave, his friend persuades him to give it another shot. That's when he see...

I absolutely devoured this short story; I couldn't put it down for a second! Lady Grace de Coutenay and Lord Nicolas Lacey are two incredibly lonely people, and the way Sherry Ewing brings them together through a chance encounter feels like pure magic. Grace has been a widow for years and seems resigned to her life with her brother, helping to care for her younger sister. Nicolas, on the other hand, is utterly consumed by grief after the tragic loss of his wife, even sending his daughter away to...

This was a fun, quick read. Nicholas is still grieving the loss of his wife. Grace lost her husband shortly after marrying him. They meet at a masquerade ball, share a passionate kiss, and that's where the fun begins. They meet again. Will they recognize each other? What will they say? I don't read a lot of Regency romance novels. While I really enjoy the genre, I sometimes find them a bit hard to follow. But when they're as well-written and easy to understand as A Kiss for Charity by Sherry Ewi...

I absolutely adored this story. I found the writing to be excellent, and I fell in love with all the characters. Nicholas, a true 'man' in every sense, is haunted by the memories of his late wife and burdened by the belief that he's responsible for her fate—a sentiment echoed by his daughter. His brother-in-law urges him to move on, but how can he when he's consumed by so much guilt? Grace, a woman of substance; a lady through and through. She attends a masquerade ball and, as fate would have it...

This novella has the perfect amount of *swoon* factor (and his name is Aldridge, just saying!). Lady Grace DeCourteney is a widow far more interested in expanding her mind than finding another husband. Nicholas Lacy is a widower searching for a mother for his young daughter. During a risqué masquerade ball, these two unlikely individuals share a midnight kiss, igniting a spark neither has ever felt before. Before identities are revealed, Grace flees in a fit of anger after being propositioned fo...
