This is a time travel book. Time travel is Rosie's gift. She goes back in time to fix her friend Thomas from being a false accused to be a thief for taking a diamond neckless that belonged to the mistress of the house. The son and the governess are the culprits. It was a good childrens book

Young Rosie from 1996 Dublin, goes back in time to meet relatives who worked in a large country house in Wicklow. There's a good introduction to the staff and hard work in such a house, to benefit a tiny minority of people. We're reminded that a few years previously, the Famine had killed poor people or driven them out of their homes. So at least those working in big homes had food and beds, with minimal earnings. Rosie has to investigate the allegation that a boy stole a diamond necklace. If sh...
