I enjoyed this historical romance story with the two main characters that were Lady Gwendolyn Marie Worthington and Neville Quinn, the Earl of Drayton. And also the rest of the characters to.Lady Gwendolyn Marie Worthington is being forced to marry a man that is close to her father age. After marriage to this man he started to blame her for his own failure to preform the marriage right. But there might be hope for love in her future when she meets her brother's business associate.Neville Quinn, ...

What an amazing story of a triangle of trouble, unhappiness and romance. Gwen is a young lady married to Sandhurst who is a lecher and old enough to be Gwen's father. There was trouble in the marriage from the beginning and Sandhurst blamed Gwen for everything. Her life was miserable. Sandhurst kept her close to him and did not let her make calls or receive her best friend. Gwen heart is a tender one, being abused by her husband and she did not know how long she could take it. When she met Nevil...

As mention by other reviewers, it's a great introduction to the Worth family series. Sherry Ewing's short story provides a glimpse at Regency-era social morés. The writing is easy to comprehend. The characters are uncomplicated and the emotional tension creates a fast reading experience. I enjoyed the connection between Gwendolyn and Neville. I thought Gwen exhibited self-assurance controlling the terms of the affair. It was touching to watch respectable Neville confront his frustration for a fo...

I knew when I opened the first page this would be a great story. Of course I was not disappointed because Sherry Ewing is a master of drawing the reader in and not letting go until the end. This is the tale of the arranged marriage of a young girl, Lady Gwendolyn to a man old enough to be her father. It was actually her father who had sealed the deal prior to his death. Determined to make the best of it, she really had no chance because her husband was very cruel and had some secrets problems an...

What great story from Sherry. A young woman forced into a loveless marriage to repay her father's debt and a brother who unmercifully enforces that marriage. The Duke was cruel, abusive and unforgiving, never happy, I'm not sure he knew what happiness was and treated her like chattel. She endures, unhappily so until her brothers friend the Duke Neville Quinn who has just unloaded a mistress and has no inclination to get involved again. He tries to resist her, but there are reasons for this forbid...

Nothing but time by Sherry Ewing a fabulous four-star read. This is the first book in the Family of Worth series, it’s also the first book by this author I have read, but I will be going back to read some more. We meet Lady Gwendolyn Mary Worthington after she has realised that she is set to be married to a man much older than her after her farther made a business deal that included it, and after his passing her brother has taken over the details and is making sure the details are adhered to. Ju...

I really enjoyed "Nothing But Time." It was a sweet romantic novel that made me cheer for the forbidden couple. I know it sounds a bit skeptical, cheering for a couple that was not supposed to fall in love. But then again, love comes unexpectedly and at times when one really needs someone to love or be loved. But once I found the reasons for the forbidden love, I couldn't have loved it more. It was beautifully well written and I was extremely satisfied with the way the author wrote this book. It...

What happens when you're forced to marry a man twice your age? A man that is cruel and unforgiving? A man that you are not in love with and can never see yourself marrying? You settle. You accept this is your life. You accept that you will never find love. What if everything you know changes when you do meet someone that you can fall in love with? When that person is not your husband? When that person is not part of the arranged marriage that your brother forced on you?An amazing story of what ha...

Oh my!!! I just have to say Sherry Ewing you are awesome. This story is about a love that is not to happen, about a marriage of lies, and the wants and desires of others. Lady Gwendolyn is in a marriage of lies, deceit, abuse and desires. Lies of her husband of 30 years older than her maybe older, is more than she can bare. He own brother of blood forces her to marry a man who knows nothing of honor, love or romance. Her life is not her own any longer but she does what must be done to stay in a ...

I haven't read many historical romance novels because I wasn't sure how each author would do, but diving into this book, I really liked the description so I was pretty excited to read this. Gwendolyn was weak but had strength as the book went on and I loved seeing her true self come out.Neville was a goner from the start. He was sweet but also had this dominant presence around him. I loved him and his strange name! Set in the 1800 I thought the author did an amazing job with how they characters ...
