Enjoyed all the families characters. Heldt shows that Silas Bain is a ruthless rogue, and it wouldn’t be far for him to steal a Time Machine and make his own fortune, instead of chasing leads to track down the Lanes. He has him totally motivated by money. I really like the ending of this book—it is due justice. 5

I sure hate to see this series endThe final book in the Time Box series. I love every one of Mr. Heldt’s time travel books. All of the series. I have always liked time travel but most of them go back to the crusades or over to Ireland and I got tired of the same old stories. Mr. Heldt had an entire family to travel with him and there was a lot of adventure, love, including family love, and also sadness. The only negative thing I could even say about Mr. Hill’s writings is that sometimes the conv...

I love reading time travel novels and this author knows how to research his material and provide a twisting tale that will engage and enlighten the reader. This is the fifth and final book in the Time Box Series featuring the Lane family. This series really should be read in order to understand what happened in the past and how they ended up where they are in each novel. The Lane family starts in the year 2020 in the first book and goes back in time to escape a maniacal boss and to protect the ti...

I just finished the final chapter of the Lane family saga. The finish was bitter sweet. I wanted to see what happens to the Lanes, but I didn't want it to end. The book was great and brought closure to all family members. This is just another great series from John. Looking forward to the next series of novels.

The finale has arrived. This time the Lanes and Robert Devereaux and his deranged inner circle all see this saga come to a head.Go back to your high school years, those days as a freshman when all you wanted was to find a way to fit in – if you are a young lady, you wanted the attention of the older boys and the popularity that would certainly follow if you managed to get the attention of especially the star of the football team. If you are a young man that desire to be the star of the team and c...

I love time travel books especially those with history. John Heldt is an author who always delivers. This one in particular had me reading non stop since I actually lived through most of what occurs in this novel. I was 10 in 1960 and 19 in 1969--it was certainly an interesting era!! So much was changing and happened within those years. This is the last of the Time Box series and I am sorry to see it go. I am sure that this author has another one coming and I will be sure to read it! There are no...

I got to spend some time with friends over the last few days. The Lane family, at least that's what it feels like when I get to read one of Mr. Heldt's books. Crown City is the latest of his works and it represents a couple of significant milestones: First, it completes the five book series Time Box, Second, this is the twentieth book he has written. Consequently, the twentieth title I have read by him.Frequent readers of Mr. Heldt's work will understand when I say that completing one of his ser...

Two years after stealing the portable time machines from his deranged billionaire business partner Robert Devereaux the Lane family have arrived in 1963 and they have settled in Coronado in California. The three oldest children (Jordan, Jeremy and Laura) have some respite so that they can nurture their own relationships and start their families while putting down roots. The youngest Askley can thrive and be a typical fourteen-year-old for the time in high school. While there she finds popularity...
