I grew up in Texas in the seventies, and although I really wanted to go into writing and film from an early age, my parents (Cuban-American) were NOT on board. They believed there were only three acceptable career paths for a male child: doctor, lawyer, and architect. After a disastrous first year of college pre-Med (too...

MY THOUGHTS -Wow, what a crazy, fun book to read!I loved Mary’s character right from the first chapter. You know, she’s going to kill her husband, it says so in the blurb, it says so in the first sentence of the book, and yet through the whole book, I kept wondering is she really going to follow through with it, will she really do it? And the whole time I’m saying to myself "Oh God, I sure hope so!" What kind of person does this make me? LOLWell, Johnny was just a jerk! There’s no other way to p...

I have read J K Franco’s Eye For An Eye Trilogy and loved it, so it was a no brainer to grab Killing Johnny Miracle. I love books that smack of betrayal and revenge and Killing Johnny Miracle gave me more than I expected. The first sentence: Mary Miracle would always recall with clarity the moment she decided to kill her husband. After Mary decided Johnny had to die, she spent the rest of the week working out the best way to do it, the ‘best’ way meaning how to kill him in the manner that was le...

Well, butter my biscuit and call it a day, I've just finished Killing Johnny Miracle by JK Franko, and, it's a wild ride. Now, I've read my fair share of crime thrillers, but this one? It's like if you took a Texas summer, added a dash of dark secrets, and sprinkled in some good ol' fashioned revenge. The story revolves around Johnny Miracle, a man who thinks he's got life all figured out. He's in love, but not with his wife, Mary. " And Mary? She's got a plan of her own. The plot thickens faster...

The title itself reveals the main plot, and this is what worked for me. I picked this book because of its straight yet unique title. But whatever seems easy to get or understand has something hidden.Although the title involves titular character Johny, the main character is his wife "Mary Miracle". The story is about her motive for developing a full-proof plan to kill her husband, Johny, and keeping herself away from the radar of suspicion. Six years after her marriage, she could understand that t...

‘Killing Johnny Miracle’ by J.K.Franko is engrossing and unusual. Mary is the sole heir to her grandma assets and her property. Enter the greedy and opportunistic Johnny Miracle, who woos and marries Mary, even though her grandma mistrusts him. The story travels interestingly through this basic plot line, picking up sub-plots which join the main story one by one.
Things get murky, deals are struck, someone dies.
Read the book to know further. I found it clever and engaging.

Killing Johnny Miracle by J. K. Franko is such a well-written book. It's edgy, fast-paced, and pulls you in immediately. Franko's adroit storytelling immerses you from the start, refusing to release its grip until the final word. Johnny, a man no stranger to adversaries, is about to face the wrath of a scorned woman, as his soon-to-be-ex is determined to prove. You won't be able to put it down, deeply relating to the diverse and powerful female characters alongside Mary. Franko excels in bringin...

Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdj0r...Blog: https://nanasbookreviews.wordpress.co...ARC ReviewKilling Johnny Miracle by JK Franko is an incredible crime novel."A story about how a strong young woman finds her moral compass and life path while the universe is throwing buckets of shit at her."In this line, the author used in his book describes quite accurately what the book is about. Mary Miracle in just a short time has been through hell and back but returned as a survivor. A motivated...

I loved the Talion/Roy Cruise saga and have been not so patiently waiting for JK Franko to release another book. Much like the namesake of this book, JK killed it again. This book has it all - fast pace, twists on twists on twists, backstabbing, conniving plans, murder, and so much more. All is not what it seems as we flip back and forth between timelines and different POVs. If you've read and enjoyed any sort of thriller in the past five years, you will love this one. Seriously, stop reading th...

Johnny miracle has visited his last disrespectful action against Mary it is finally the straw that broke the camels back or will it be Johnny’s back? Although Mary isn’t the only one with an ax to grind when it comes to Johnny and the last thing she wants to do is lose her vineyard and all her and her grandma Nelly has accumulated it seems Johnny has been a busy bee from cheating on Mary with her sleazy friend Karen to bad land deals with crazy Eddie it seems while Johnny is surrounding his self...
