This was well and truly dark but very intriguing and short enough to finish in under an hour. Definitely take a close look at the CWs before diving in.

I read the first five of these little novellas on a dare and... I cannot recommend them for too many reasons. See my highlights for details.

In a nutshell, the content warnings don't cover half of the content in the series... and the series doesn't have an arch or a story or a cohesive world - it's just a series of rape/slave fantasy smut vignettes featuring mPreg, non-con, and very little magic.

This is someone's kink headcannon at best, and a cash-grab at worst. Keep your distance.

This is a super short story which introduces the prince of pain and his new pleasure/pain slave. The fantasy setting with fairys and magic adds a new layer, which I found quite intriguing, but still felt this is a little too dark for me.

Is it meant to be a fanfic or a yaoi novel? 🤔 Even if it is, it's immature and simplistic even for that kind of genre.

I kept checking and rechecking - did I miss paragraphs? pages? There was not much of the world building or character history.

As far as I understand, this is not a book with a cliffhanger, it's a chapter.

Ohhh, this went dark fast. Like, I got scared for Liam but this was so good. Prince Briar got there just in time, but I don't see him as Liam's savior. I can't wait to see how sadistic he is😊
