« Oui, je t'ai aidé, même si tu as ignoré ma requête alors que j'étais dans un besoin bien plus grand. » Un muscle tressailla sur la joue d'Aurelius, qui tourna lentement la tête pour observer Jari passer. « Tu n'as rien fait et as agi comme si je n'avais pas parlé. Pensais-tu que j'avais oublié ton...

Time of death 19%. The dialogue was pretty juvenile and I kept thinking “who says this?”, and the characters decisions just didn’t seem very logical.

Romance and fantasy combine for a "must turn the pages" thriller. Prince Aureluis has a grudge against Jari due to an awful experience which was thrust upon them six years earlier. He makes Jari his guard and that creates much tension between them. This sexual tension is sure to grow in later books in this series.Probably the best aspect of the book is the" never saw it coming"end. I was very surprised as my list of murderers in the castle did not include the actual killer at all. As a result, l...

A Reluctant RomanceI found the riveting story of Prince Aurelius and Jari hard to put down. After the most awful of first meetings, Jari is forced to live in the prince's world as his guard to protect the latter against a murderer lurking in the palace. But there is much more to this story than meets the eye. Jari finds himself attracted to the tormented prince despite disliking him, but is it dislike or something entirely different? Sexual tension between these two protagonists is high througho...

this actually pissed me off, the characters were dumb as shit (looking at you jari), there was a running stick in the ass joke that made me want to strangle somebody, the dialogue was weird for fantasy, the worldbuilding was shit, the fact they're fairies is practically irrelevant most of the book, and I struggled for the majority of it but towards the end I was bewitched and couldn't put it down and am now forced to open book two which i'm pissed about bc no it's not good, curse my curious mind...

Holy shiiiit. I got captive Prince and The Princes Assassin vibes, but it was so original. I did a quick look online and I don't think there's any MM King Midas fairytale retelling. The prologue when they met, I wasn't expecting that. I think Aurelius was lying about being sick. He likes "postponing" info The dialog and banter between them is perfect, and this scratched my enemies to lovers. Everything from the key on the front cover (🤫) to what was going on, the fairytale Jari reads, it was...

"Gilded Lies" takes you on a journey into a captivating world of romance and fantasy. The story revolves around Jari, burdened by a past he'd rather forget, and Aurelius Midas, the Crown Prince holding a grudge towards Jari from six years ago. The plot thickens as these two individuals navigate court intrigue, murder, and a looming external threat. The author has crafted a compelling narrative, skillfully blending elements of romance and fantasy. Jari's sense of duty and Aurelius's complex charac...

Guided lies is the first book I have read by this author and I must say it was quite an interesting, romantic read for me even through I don't usually read romance. The story is the classic enemies to lovers male romance set in a fictional realm of Kings. Jari reluctantly vows to protect the prince despite the problems he had faced in his past.Jari and Aurelius had a interesting romance and chemistry with really worked out great for the novel, even through they were some flaws in character devel...

This was surprisingly good. Sometimes, fantasy romance can be too boring, but this was one of the cases where I found myself very interested in both the plot as well as the relationship between the leads. Looking forward to the sequel.
