I felt so disconnected to this story. Even at the end of the book I still know nothing about any of the main characters. They didn’t have any depth to them. I honestly don’t even have an opinion on any of the characters because there’s just not enough to go off of. The world building is promising but again, not explained well enough. It’s an interesting plot with why Melisande fell from heaven but there’s no tangible next more which makes it feel like it’s just floating aimlessly around. The cha...

I wanted something raunchy and I definitely got it! 😂 I didn't quite understand what I was asking for haha✅ FINALLY A RH WITH a strong and badass female lead! Seriously, I feel like most rh MCs are so helpless and basically at the mercy of everyone around them. But Melisande was a total badass and it was so refreshing❌ NOT A MEDIUM OR SLOW BURN... was pretty much straight down to business with all of the love interests. I need a little more build up so I actually care about the relationships fo...

Big HELL yes! 🌙What a story. What an imagination. I got sucked in. Melisandre was the perfect blend of “don’t fuck with me”, and owning up to that attitude without being crass. ✨I loved all the tension. I loved all the different love interests, and how they were build up without being off-putting. Trust me, in RH the sex part can be a bit much, but this felt more like they formed a bond than just jumping in bed with one another and I appreciate that. I think it was hot, sexy and even delicate. ...

Having just read the The Lili Kazana Series I was really worried this book would be too identical. But hot damn this book stands out all on its own and I absolutely loved it from start to finish. After being betrayed by her troupe leader and Archangel Gabriel, Melisande really took to being cast from heaven smoothly. In fact some of her first thoughts after falling are cursing since she's finally able to do so without pain ripping through her. Lust and wrath become part of her new self. As a tra...

3.5: Melisande is a fighter--an angel fallen from heaven (or, pushed as it were) into the depths of Hell--thrown into the Seventh Circle's brutal fighting rings under the Prince of Wrath, Belial. I was surprised that I liked this book, since I so DISLIKED the Cimmeron Cage books. However, the plot moved at a good clip and managed to balance the larger plot (Melisande's revenge on Gabriel) with her love stories. This book is described as an enemies to lovers slow-burn romance, but I would disagre...

DNF - quit at 35%I had hopes that this would be a story I would enjoy, but I didn’t. Others may like this, but I didn’t. The premise of the story just didn’t work for me. I kept thinking “what the heck!” to everything happening. The world building really wasn’t there, I felt lost & confused about a lot of things that happened in the first 35%. I couldn’t get into the FMC, because she was all over the place, one minute she’s got her moral compass straight, the next she’s deep in bloodlust &am...

4.5.This was the best RH book I have read in a long time.I would say it gets off to a little bit of shakey start with the power dynamics between Milisandre and the Demon's, but that soon dissipates and it is great watching her grow into the fallen angel she is becoming. While, as with all RH, there is a strong romance aspect, I felt like the over arching plot was a strong and engaging one and Milisandre has a clear character arc. This felt like a proper book, rather than just an excuse for romance...

I'm so bored....Ok, whining over.

This was a pretty good book. I liked it. I had never read any book by this author and I've already finished reading one of her serials as I type this review. I liked when angels go all dark, it makes me clap my hands like an evil villain.

Can't wait for book 2.

Oh hell. I need the next one. An fmc who doesn’t back down, just fallen from heaven and tossed in a gladiator like arena. Multiple POV, but just enough of each guy to tease.so many different characters, the guys and their backgrounds are really fleshed out. Lucifer, Azrael, Tas and Belial. Favourite character was Belial. Contains sex, violence and death. It’s gonna be interesting to see what happens next, can’t wait.
