I love this series so far. Good twists and uniqueness, surprises, Heas, and realness for the world. I love the feel I get from them.

What a sweet cutie Cynric was. I like how it followed the traditional format of Cinderella and then deviated. I love good twists or unexpected endings where everything works out okay. They made an adorable couple.

A great fairytale retelling
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The story revolves around Cynric, who's life growing up is a living hell living with his stepmother and step sisters, forcing him to do everything from cooking, cleaning, mending clothing. Sound familiar yet? This was a fun retelling of Cinderella with a M/M love story. It's a quick read with several fun surprises that you won't see coming. I highly recommend this one and this new series!

I love the title!
The title to this book drew me in. So clever! The story mirrors the tale of Cinderella with all manner of fantastic adjustments. I especially love the inclusion of Thor and Loki, with a cute moment for Fenrir as well. As always with Mannino, the story flows well and I enjoyed the happy ending after a few speed bumps.

Ahhh, femboys. Cynric was such a sweet thing, and I felt so bad for how he was so beaten down over the years. I loved his dresses and how Loki helped him out with the carriage and everything else. What was better than the movie I watched aggges ago as a kid was that the Earl had something he liked. The movie Prince was so bland. Did he like art? Reading? Picnicking in the alps? Dunno. I get the movie was about Cinderella, but to give her at least some depth and pair her with a so-so looking guy...

Aww, I loved this twist. It was so much better than the actual Cinderella honestly. I always imagined Cinderella being kinda bored and more like just a pretty thing for the Prince after they got married.
Cynric and Henri both got to follow their real passions here

The first two thirds were very enjoyable. The ending did not work for me.

2.5/5. Highlights may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.Content Warnings for book: Child abuse, toxic masculinity, misogyny Kink: N/AWeird tonal shifts in this one. We had the beat-for-beat Cinderella retelling, the happy ever after was on the horizon at 70% and then… a fire happens? Things spiral from there and it certainly ends differently. It just threw off the tone of the book completely for me.This is an alternate earth setting, but the time frame of this was vaguely historical? It wa...

This one was sweet and cute, but I think I liked it even better than the red riding one. Cynric likes to dress as a woman, but there's a bit I really liked where he basically says he doesn't want to be woman, but he likes feminine over the masculine. You can be a guy and still feel and be pretty.😊 I really need more of Loki too, and I can't wait to see what else he does in the other fairytales. I read Loki's Price so I see he's kinda doing what the old woman said, but he's still not getting sup...
