The fourth book of Auryn Hadley that I have tried and the first that I have ever finished. And surprisingly I loved it. My feelings for this are probably skewed because I'm coming off a five star read, but I'm at 40% and I just don't care.... The pacing is slow and there is a lot of political shoveling. If you loved the Rise of the Iliri series, you will love this book! Hailey is your normal everyday barista, when an alien spaceship crashes and she finds herself trying to help save the world. A master of her craft, Auryn Hadley has once again bestowed one of her masterpieces upon us. The world building is done beautifully with a complex and riveting plot that keeps the pages flipping. The characters are so well done that they seem real. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this book was and how it needs to be read and enjoyed by all.
