Young Sentinels: Wearing the Cape, Book 3If you're into superhero fiction, or just looking for a thrilling, wild ride with some seriously great (okay, maybe just *very* good, but you be the judge!) writing and a plot that grabs you and doesn't let go, then this series is definitely for you! This is a great addition to the superhero book reviews category.Huge thanks to Marion G. Harmon! I originally had these books in paperback, and now I've got them on Kindle. Just wanted to say, I'm really enjo...

I really enjoyed "Young Sentinels: Wearing the Cape, Book 3" by Marion G. Harmon, and whether you're young or old, I think you might too if you're into action-packed stories with seriously evil villains. There's a lot happening, and while one villain is dealt with, there's a larger overarching plot that I suspect will carry over into the next book. It can get a tad confusing at times, so it definitely helps if you've listened to or read the previous books, as events from them have repercussions ...

I still have the same issues with "Young Sentinels: Wearing the Cape, Book 3" as I did with the first two books in the series. Shelly is written as infantile most of the time, which is exceptionally annoying. She speaks the way an adult *thinks* teenagers talk – all, "Like, Oh My God WHATEVER!" Very stereotypical. Honestly, the dialogue feels forced.I missed Artemis for most of the book. Marion G. Harmon must have realized she was way cooler than Astra and had to sideline her as a regular charac...

I'm not usually one for superhero stories, but I have to hand it to Marion G. Harmon – the *Young Sentinels: Wearing the Cape, Book 3* series is incredibly well thought-out. It offers a realistic look at what a world with superheroes would actually be like: the challenges it would face, and how society would realistically adapt. *Young Sentinels: Wearing the Cape, Book 3* is a fun, fast-paced adventure with an interesting cast of villains and some cool new characters. Overall, it's a blast to re...

The mundane meets menacing villains in this installment. After dismantling the second iteration of Villains Inc., life returns to something resembling normal. Of course, 'normal' is a relative term for our hero, Astra. The Sentinels are thriving, and the decision is finally made to establish a junior team. I'll give you a hint as to who's chosen to lead this new squad... Astra! This is yet another fantastic multi-POV narrative within the *Wearing the Cape* universe. Marion G. Harmon keeps the stor...

One of the many things Marion Harmon excels at is crafting incredibly powerful super villain threats. This time around, "Young Sentinels: Wearing the Cape, Book 3" kicks off with the Green Man—a super-powered eco-terrorist who can make plant life grow and spread at an alarming rate. We're talking new trees essentially "charging" across parks, tearing up roads, grabbing and killing anyone in their path, wrecking property, flipping cars, and basically trying to turn Chicago into a forest. Stopping...

A whole slew of new, teenage heroes are introduced in **Young Sentinels: Wearing the Cape, Book 3** and Marion G. Harmon seems to have figured out the problem with first-person narratives. His solution is to switch viewpoints at every chance he gets. I found that irritating at first, but it grew on me. My only real complaint by the end was that the differentiation between the internal voices felt kind of shallow. If the characters didn't have different powers and their names weren't at the top o...

Another "Wearing the Cape" installment! This time, it's Astra's story again, though told from multiple points of view. Be warned: spoilers for previous books ahead! The story kicks off with some seriously aggressive trees. Hope's on patrol when she sees them going berserk. She calls for backup and jumps in to rescue people and try to stop the leafy onslaught. Meanwhile, at a nearby school, an accident during an evacuation leads to an explosive power breakthrough – luckily, Hope arrives just in t...

What am I supposed to do with my life now that I've finished the latest book in the series? I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW.This is everything I could have asked for. We finally got more time with the Young Sentinels. We finally got a glimpse into the less fortunate aspects of breakthroughs (and yay for Astra acknowledging her privilege!).We finally got Jackie back, which was wonderful. And Acacia too. I really want to see more adventures with those two.I'm so glad that the romance thing didn't work out b...
