3.25/5 I feel like this book had all the right ingredients to take me exactly where I wanted to go, and then it spectacularly drove off a cliff. I'm so confused, but I will say that "You Killed Me First" by John Marrs is truly unique. I've never been in a situation where the elements I adored were so mismatched that the whole thing just plummeted at the ending.Rating "You Killed Me First" is a challenge because I genuinely enjoyed reading it – but either there are a few plot lines that just slam...

Well, that was fun as hell. I had a little bit of difficulty keeping all the characters/POVs straight, but *You Killed Me First* by John Marrs was a wild ride I enjoyed very much. If you're looking for a thriller that keeps you guessing, definitely check this one out. A great addition to any list of 'best thriller book reviews'!

Well, well, well... what a wildly unhinged ride! This book had me shouting, “What the heck did I just read?!” Just when you think you’ve caught your breath, another twist punches you in the face, and then another, and another! It's like your jaw hits the floor—only for a plot twist to slap it again while your hair stands on end like you’ve stuck your fingers in an electric socket. You’ll constantly question who the worst character is—and let me tell you, it’s not an easy choice. But let’s be re...

I'm sorry... What in the name of all the pronouns, TikToks, Xs, OnlyFans, and the latest bizarre trends in our messed-up world was this? I refuse to believe that the author of *What Lies Between Us*, *The Good Samaritan*, and *The Passengers* actually wrote this confusing mess that I somehow managed to finish!Detestable characters, a first-person narrative that's honestly become irritating—especially when the characters have verbal diarrhea—and twist after unbelievably nonsensical twist. I hones...

2.0 stars— I've always been a big fan of John Marrs, so I was really excited when I saw he had a new book coming out, "You Killed Me First," on Kindle Unlimited. The story's told from the perspectives of three friends who live near each other: Anna, Margot, and Liv. It starts off innocently enough, and the author does a great job showing us each character's personality through how they interact. Margot's a former child star with a major attitude problem, always ready with something negative to s...

Okay, WOW! This was seriously twisted.😬This is the kind of drama you want to devour in a book, but absolutely NEVER experience in real life. At least, that’s how I felt after that insane opening! At first, it seems like a classic drama—three women who appear to be best friends, all smiles and sunshine on the surface. As John Marrs's *You Killed Me First* unfolds, the reveals aren’t dumped on you all at once. Instead, they’re doled out through carefully placed hints, leaving you constantly thinki...

Okay, I am SO torn on what to rate this one! Overall, I enjoyed it. Like most John Marrs books, **You Killed Me First** is full of twists and turns. You have no idea what's true until the very last page, but I was confused for a good chunk of it. Especially reading it over 3-4 days, I kept having to re-read the last chapter to remember where I was and what was going on. But like I said, I enjoyed it! A 3 feels right, hahaha. If you're looking for twisty thriller book reviews, **You Killed Me Fir...

Bonfire Night. After a dramatic, fiery start and a voice whispering "You Killed Me First" in my ear, I was immediately hooked. When shall we three meet again? Let me introduce you to the coven of the cul-de-sac. First, there’s glossy Liv, who seems to have it all, including a handsome husband named Brandon—think Brandon Flowers but with plenty of muscle definition. Then there’s Margot, whose post-pop star infamy via her marriage to Nicu follows her everywhere. Just call her Mrs. Snark. And then th...

Happy belated Pub Day! Whoa! Holy-Mother-of-gawd! John Marrs pulled out all the punches with this one! From the moment I started reading *You Killed Me First*, I absolutely COULD NOT STOP! Three women - Margot, Anna, and Liv. Liv and her family just moved into the neighborhood. Soon, these women will go to great lengths to impress one another. Who has what, how they got there, where they came from… You get the gist. Only, they are about to find out THEY HAVE NO IDEA!!!! I would classify this as ...
