4.0 stars—"We Are All Guilty Here (North Falls Mystery, Book 1)" is the first Karin Slaughter book I've ever picked up. She's written over twenty, but none of the plot summaries ever grabbed me enough to actually read one. I kept seeing great reviews for "We Are All Guilty Here (North Falls Mystery, Book 1)", so I finally decided to give her a shot. And I'm really glad I did. The story is mainly told from Emmy's point of view. She's the sheriff's daughter and chief deputy in a small-town Georgia...

I absolutely loved everything about this book, except maybe its length! Don't let that put you off, though. I usually enjoy a longer, character-driven thriller, but I just felt like it didn’t need to be *quite* as long as it was. In true Karin Slaughter style, "We Are All Guilty Here (North Falls Mystery, Book 1)" was gritty, emotional, and incredibly dark, and I was hooked on every single word. I'm really looking forward to the next books in the North Falls series. If you're looking for a gripp...

Karin Slaughter's books have been a bit inconsistent for me in the past, but "We Are All Guilty Here (North Falls Mystery, Book 1)" is an excellent thriller with many intricate layers. I'm so glad to hear this is the start of a series featuring Emmy and Jude!
There's a lot happening in "We Are All Guilty Here (North Falls Mystery, Book 1)". Many characters, many secrets, many mysteries that stretch across years. The story becomes much bigger than the initial mystery, and there are so many poten...

Okay, I get it now. I totally understand the buzz around Karin Slaughter. I mean, *We Are All Guilty Here (North Falls Mystery, Book 1)* packs a serious punch with its **thrills and chills**, but it's also got this **poignancy** that literally **brought me to tears** more than once. From the **believably flawed characters** to the **\"WTF?!\ twists**,\" my mind was blown by the immersive storytelling of this **dark, gritty, and downright twisted tale**. It's a deft mix of **police procedural and...

This book, We Are All Guilty Here (North Falls Mystery, Book 1) by Karin Slaughter, was such a slog that I’ve been stuck at 42% for over a week and honestly, I don’t want to go back. I really tried, especially since I’ve heard so many good things about Karin Slaughter, but it's just too much police procedural and not enough thrill. Plus, the chapters are way too long for a thriller, in my opinion.
I just couldn’t stay invested in We Are All Guilty Here.
I almost withdrew my request for this on...

Now Available Happy Publication Day!✨New Series by Karin Slaughter North Falls Book 1*We Are All Guilty Here (North Falls Mystery, Book 1)* is my favorite Karin Slaughter book yet! It is brilliant, compelling, and incredibly tense. The suspense builds steadily until the breathless conclusion. The story is utterly enthralling from start to finish. The town is filled with intrigue and dark secrets, creating a claustrophobic atmosphere. This haunting, confined feeling enhances the tension throughou...

As a devoted fan of Karin Slaughter, I eagerly dove into her latest novel, thrilled to meet a brand-new protagonist, Officer Emmy Clifton. Set in the seemingly quiet town of North Falls, the story kicks off with a Fourth of July celebration that takes a dark turn when two teenage girls vanish without a trace. Emmy finds herself at the center of the investigation, determined to uncover the truth—not just for the town, but because one of the missing girls is the daughter of her best friend. As she...

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Wow. I'm almost speechless. Karin Slaughter has created a tour de force, and in my opinion, she already defines the crime fiction sub-genre. "We Are All Guilty Here" is a masterpiece…The story is told with such intricate detail. Every element is carefully crafted and vividly depicted. I felt like I was in some magical machine, a vicarious voyeur catapulted into every scene of "We Are All Guilty Here," observing with my own eyes. Because I witnessed each scene firsthand, I also exp...

2.5 rounded up to 3, a.k.a pretty average! While the residents of North Falls, Georgia, are all occupied enjoying the 4th of July fireworks, two local teenage girls – Madison Dalrymple and Cheyenne Baker – are being abducted from the carpark.Deputy Emmy Clifton-Lang (the official Amazon blurb lists Emmy’s surname as ‘Clifford’, so it’s either a typo, was altered for the published version, or differs depending on edition), along with her Sheriff father Gerald Clifton, are first on the scene where ...
